first one is way better.

the second is awful and looks like two nub tuts i did a year ago with a relatively simple border.

yes those are very simple effects to accomplish.

i suggest you go to a tutorial indexing site.. www.good-tutorials.com and find some tutorials you think you'd be interested in learning. And then from there expand and learn your own style.

I think they have potential to be much, much better. 6/10 combined.

First one: 8/10. It is deatailed and very nice,but ehri could be improvements

Secodn one: 7/10. It is okay and all but simple effect and a bit too bland.
