In face to face I noticed that when it comes in using technology some teachers are not that skilled because they don't have enough seminars to learn how to use different technology in teaching while in online settings the all are lack of resources to maximize the use of technology in Learning language.

In my own opinion, technology did it best to helped the educational systems of the whole world to be successful despite of the pandemic. It offers teachers more opportunities to explore the use and proper manipulation of technology for the sake of their teaching skills. And so with the student, we became knowledgeable somehow in using technology.

I do think that this pandemic increase the use of technology since we are now in new normal technology really helps a lot especially in education. It offers many platform that we can use to continue our learning and develop our skills interms of using different technology which we can use in the future.

Personally, this pandemic contributes a big help in the current education system wherein it provides a good platform to exercise both learning and teaching. This provides various learning modalities that will encourage the students to continue despite the struggles of having this pandemic.
Technology plays a vital role for students to learn and think independently. On the other hand, the educational system with a touch of technology creates collaborative and creative work through collecting ideas.

"The influence of technology on the productive skills of speaking and writing is, arguably, less".
Kate Evangelista

The influence of technology on the productive skills of speaking and writing is, arguably, less if you wish to improve fluency, many students would argue that nothing is better than a face-to-face language lesson, a discussion class with the teacher. Can the same be said about taking a fluency class using Skype, a web-based program such as Illuminate or a class in the virtual world,
K
Kier Bacit
I disagree with the statement, I think learning and enhancing speaking skills is within yourselves. Eventhough we have this kind of set up, there's other way to improve our speaking skills. Personally, I am one of those students who have fear when it comes in speaking, because I'm scared to commit mistakes and being judge by others.
K
Kimberly
I agree with the statement above. As someone who preffered a face to face classes, I've always wanted to show personally to the class how I can enhance more my speaking ability. But in an online platform, most of the students tends to not participate in the class regularly because it doesn't give you the feeling of satisfaction within yourself and probably not that fulfilling to a student.
Good day my dear students! Welcome to the Battle Forums.:welcome:

For today's discussion we well have a debate and kindly comment your insight from the statement below:

Does technology promote interactivity and collaboration within learning or it teaches the students to work independently?
K
Kimberly
Educational technology allows students to be much better prepared for class, and provides teachers with attractive resources to make their classes much more human and sociable, where all students have the opportunity to participate regardless of their level.
K
Kier Bacit
I think it teaches the students to work independently because present technology will let you access numerous resources for the topic you want to learn. By knowing the best ways to find information on the web , you can find many sites, docs and lectures for your topic. You can learn it just by sitting in front of your monitor. If you are capable of using this technology, you will become an independent learner.

I think, it promotes independent learning of the students because there are several factors that might affect the connection and interaction of the students through the online setting. Personally, technology really enhance my independency.
Good day, everyone!

Oral or written participation, both ways may contribute to the improvement of the learners. Activities in the classroom consist of both written output and oral participation. Either way, the learners are encouraged to share their thoughts and knowledge which may indicate their progress in the classroom.
L
Lil Angela Parayno
In short, it does not really matter which will be done, as long as it is directed at enhancing the learners' language skills.
M
Mickaella Candelaria
When it comes to class participation, both oral and written can be an effective way to assess learner's understanding. However, learners must know where they excel so that they will know which aspect needs more attention and improvement.

Yes, texting affects the linguistic ability of a person, specially the learners, because words used in texting are shortened. Most of the texters do not use complete spellings which affects the vocabulary of the learner. Also, it is very casual that overlooked correct grammar.

Yes it affects. Student uses different wordings in text. They often use whole word or the accepted words. Most of the time, they used shortcuts words like thanks will be Tnx.
