lol. The scene where nite owl and yellow-jupiter girl have their first 'attempt' was just hilarious.
Theater was packed FULL.. we had to sit on the very first row
.I found it to be terribly boring with a terrible soundtrack. The soundtrack didn't even match the movie's moments. The movie also didn't even seem to have a plot. It had a little at the end the rest of this long ass movie was backstory. Also seemed to lack character development.

Overall I liked it, but its a pretty complex movie with a lot of weight so its not something you watch unless you're prepared to get involved. Overall enjoyable and reminds me of the feeling of a laser show, awe inspiring in its beauty and complexity.

Rorschach and Nite Owl II were perfect adaptions, made me happy. Silk Spectre II has lots of bad acting moments. A couple of moments I had to cringe at dialogue and acting. Dr. Manhatten, despite his dangling junk, was also portrayed very good, cold, distant, emotionless. The time spent on the adaption of Chapter 4 going through Manhattan's past was a little short, but still really well done. They added a lot of action to it, which is okay, but was to cater to the ADD retards who thought it was a super hero movie. The change in the ending worked perfectly. I like it a little better than the graphic novels, which is quite a feat.
Considering it was based on a novel about the ideas, and not a "super hero" group, this movie was fairly good.
Still I can't wait to get my hands on the directors cut, and Tales of the Black Freighter. That should be awesome.

Uh....just saw this movie....I was going to make a thread in Asylum to vent out what utter shit it was, but I'll do it here and try to keep it civil. Firstly 3/4ths of the movie are completely unnecessary, 2 hours and 40 minutes of nothing happening, except cheap porn (first time ever I had to pay for porn), cheap gore (I am a fan of gore, Kill Bill was good gore, this was shitty gore) and blue penises. I know people are going to say that you have to read the comic to appreciate it...but I just don't see how that could be, that movie was complete and utter waste of time, it was so badly made that it wasn't even funny bad.
Love some of the dialog.
"Hey, lets have sex! Oh wait! My dick is limp!" five minutes, one wacky apocalyptic nightmare and one random and generic 'children from a fire' rescue later "Hey, lets have sex again! Saving all those kids gave me a boner! And yes lets throw in some crappy music just to make it all more awkward!"
It picked up a bit towards the end....but the ride to that point was not worthwhile....watching this makes me want to do violence over how bad it is.....how can you people enjoy this? Its like brainrape, 2 hours and 40 minutes worth of brainrape!
Those who haven't watched it yet, please don't, this movie will kill a bit of your soul.
I don't care if you don't care, my intent here is to spread the word and spare another human being from watching this, even if I can save only one, my job is done.

It's good reasoning that if you didn't read the Graphic Novel, or don't know previously about Watchmen that you wouldn't enjoy it.
It's "deep" and such, to a point where it ruins any casual movie goers experience. If you're going to adapt a comic series like this, then you either do whatever you want, or you follow just about 100% to the script. And since this movie isn't ~4:30 minute or so like the previous watchmen tries, it falls incredibly short for most. However, if you read the books and such, a lot of it is pretty badass.
I saw it. It was ok. I didn't like the original Watchmen series as much as everyone else seems to. I never saw it as "groundbreaking" like everyone told me it was, so meh.,

No, its not deep, I get the whole philosophical message, its pretty much on the surface. Its just that the way they delivered it, was horrible, most of the movie was pointless, it should have lasted half an hour at most.

No, didn't go over my head at all, it just sucked, bad, like really bad. There is nothing about it to like, whatsoever. Its completely and utterly unnecessary.
Blah, blah, blah, human nature, blah, blah, blah, will destroy each other, blah, blah, blah, must be manipulated through fear. blah, blah. I mean the main "bad guy" basically tells you everything in the end. And most of the plot until then is basically a filler. Its not deep, its "comic book deep" at the most.

Glad we agree then, too bad those vague one liners of yours fail at making you look clever, buddy.
aside from the cheesy music it was ok. BUT WHERE WAS THAT MONSTER. i was hoping for a fantastic rendition of that monster that appears in the end of the movie not an explosion. god. i hate it when a good characters gets written off as a bad guy.
I never read the book or knew it was a book till the movie, either way i thought it was an amazing movie. The fact that it was long added to it cause it gave more and more detail. i could be wrong, but those or my thoughts.
