My Smiter..

Ok, I need to know if this would do good, and if not what I should change:

20 smite
20 holy shield
20 defiance
20 fanaticism
1 zeal
1 charge
1 sacrifice (syn/pre req for zeal)
1 pre reqs

I figure with enough skills you can have your 5 needed for zeal and then some..using this as a secondary attack (best for pvm)

Also the 1 sacrifice when skilled up can be a helpful synergy

The 1 charge can help once skilled up against those retarded trappers etc.

I figure my AR/Def/Blocking will be really good.

Also, since smiters don't leech, and pvp leeching isn't very good anyways..

I am using a lot of absorb gear.

Hellmouth, raven, dwarf, blackhorns, and tgods.

I'd use a blackoak too, but I'm going to use ss..and blackoak has lower smite dmg.

All in all, most sorcs aren't going to do too good against me and smite owns even javas..

Any suggestions/comments?

Note: with my shitty gear I will only get +1 pally skills +2 combat skills and +1 def auras..

dont use ss it has HORRIBLE smite dmg use a good 4 socket high smite dmg pally shield and put in ber's or resist jools if you can afford it otherwise just use the ss i spose

Your skill distribution is good 4 PvM, but in PvP you'll need to have more points into charge to boost your dmg and AR, or more into Vigor to boost your speed (works as Synergy 4 charge, too).

2) No, +skills from items don't work as synergies. You actually have to spend skill points to sacrifice if you want to make it work as a synergy bonus.

3) Storm shield has a horrible Smite dmg. I suggest you to use Herald of Zakarum (after you've upgraded it with the Cube formula), or Alma Negra, or Griswold Shield (it has 3 sockets, too), or an "Exile" ethereal Sacred Rondache. All these shield have a very good smite damage.

Defiance is good only if you go PvP (and generally 10 points into Def are more than enough), it's pretty useless in PvM unless you're a pure tank.

I suggest to max Charge and put some points into Vigor.

Ah, another thing: if you use an "exile" shield, you have automatically the Defiance aura when you equip your shield, so, if you're planning to use Exile, you can spend 0 points into Defiance.

ive never really met any good smite paladins-of course i dont ever really give them the chance with my sorc. id be happy to duel u if u want...jus make sure u can stand beng slowed while being in a circle of hydras.

Guys let me clarify a few things:

1. All builds I post/ask questions about are always PvP.

2. Since it's PvP, I should put how many pt's in defiance?

3. I cannot afford runewords other than shitty 1.09 ones

4. I make melee chars and only duel with melee chars..why would a smiter want to duel a teleporter?

This all being said..
