Ghosts real or not

Ok before i start this thread i must explain why I keep messing up and there are occaisonally 3 or 2 posts of me with the exact same text in, I apologise for i have done this too many times without realising what went wrong.
It can get pretty laggy on the net, on my machine, especially with Imesh running, i type a post and when i submit the loading bar goes at a snails pace so i click 'back' and submit again, even though i clicked 'back' it still submitted the information.

Thread topic: Do you really believe in ghosts, have you actually seen conclusive evidence that they are there. My friend is a blind believer of the program called "most haunted". Whenever he starts moaning about ghosts i say "prove it". Then he comes up with this pathetic saying: "to a believer no proof is neccesary, to a non-believer no proof is possible". Pls submit some evidence or critea of a ghost if you believe in them, instead of "i saw one"

Well, 1st off, I'm kinda stuck in the middle. Not sure if there are ghosts are not.

I've seen some pretty trippy shit, and I can't explain what it is sometimes, and they appear ghost-like in appearence. But, usually when i see such things, I am very tired, scared, or stoned .

I've heard many people so many people talk about ghosts friends and what not, but some of it could be explained using science (how i donno, just know its explainable) but i've never seen anything to make me bealive in ghosts and i hold the mentality of i see it i bealive it.

In a sense and as a Christian, I do believe in "ghosts". Correctly translated, GOD to a Christian is the triad (one god, three names) -- GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Ghost. But some Church decided "ghost" sounded evil -- like witch, goblin, ghoul, and such -- and made it "Spirit".

To me, nothing is impossible, only improbable. If ghosts exist outside of Angels and Demons, I wouldn't be surprised. If they don't, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not in the middle or on the fence with this; I just believe that there is no where near enough research on either side to be conclusive.

I saw this thingi on the news a while back. Explaining why people actually saw ghosts. I can't remember why but i think it was something to do with you're brain chem or something .

BTD its a pitty such a good mind would be spoilt by religion, there is'nt really any research proving that ghosts are real, they can't even explain how ghosts are here and what they are made of ect. I've asked a ghost believer what there are made out of, twice, both times he came up with different answers .

Btw: It is'nt the 'triad' its called the 'trinity'. I don't know if they corrupted the meaning of triad in america...

yes, the mind is a VERY powerful thing, and sometimes if you think you see something, it can trick you into seeing something that isn't there.

I just felt like using the word "triad" for some reason... I should have used Trinity, though. That's why I didn't capitolize "triad", though I don't see what you mean by "spoiled by religion"... I like to consider myself a scientist -- as biology is my primary subject of interest specialized in biotech.

in short, yes. i wouldnt say i really believe in ghosts though, the apparitions of the spirit of a famous dude wandering around a haunted hotel seems kindof farfetched, you know? really, i believe that there are ghosts in the world, but they don't come in contact with anything

It scared the living hell out of me considering it was looking at me and sitting on my computer chair. Now I think if I saw something like on that movie 13 Ghosts I think I would go into a comma becuase of my heart jump starting like that.[/color]

Well, what do you think of these stupid programs like most haunted. I saw an episode once and they go to a "haunted" place for a couple of hours and suddenly a door slams, they all get excited because its supposed to be super natural activity, they they heard footsteps it could'nt of been more fake. They have a little detector thingi, and they holded it to a power line and what do you know it started wizzing and stuff, they call that real proof! When they bring a "median" in, now thats funny. He says all this crap and they just happen to have a book there to check it up, sorry but no.
