we have to learn about stocks in math on monday. i have to learn as much as possible about them before monday. well since you guys are smart. can you help me?

Sure! Stocks are things that you put money into and sometimes they go up in price and sometimes they crash, causing national financial instability. Thats about all I know (except that I won $100 in a competition where I had to pretend to invest in the market and see how much money I could make... I got second in my state with a 36% or so increse).

stocks are mainly a cerificate verifying that you now own part of a company. if they do well, the stock goes up, and you get a share of the profits. if they go down, you get nothing. if you own, say, 51% of the stock circulating, then you can take over the company's actions....although i might be wrong. i think it's over half of the stock. i played the stock market game during the time the stock market was doing so crappily, 2 or so years ago. the highest score was only 11,000 or so.

You cant invest in a game u can invest in a company exp. blizzard. and usually u have to be carful b/c some stocks if the company falls to much can realy hurt u so look into a stock for at least half a year or so then invest this keeps u from loseing everything on a "good looking lemon" that will fall a few days after u buy into it also uusually have to sell the stock to make the money exp. rising sun is at lets say 16$ when u buy it then it goes up to 30$ that is the time to sell it so that u make ur money u realy dont make much if u just invest and never buy new stocks or sell old ones the key part is selling right before the stock goes down if u wait to long it will end up with u eather haveing to wait for the stock to climb agian or end up with no stock to sell becouse the company has gone under and has just quit trying. the main thing is not to waste money on slow stocks... Along with the fact that some stocks(almost all of them recuire a minimum amout of stocks puchesed... i cant realy thing of much more at the time but tell me if this was helpful... O ya i just remembered that every time u buy or sell a stock u have to pay a comishion so becarful...
