Do WarCraft3 Triggers Work In StarCraft?

I don't have WarCraft3, so I don't know the editor, or it's triggers.
But I am told that it has many new triggers available to it.

With StarCraft, we can Save, and Import triggers.

I assume that the same can be done with WarCraft3.

Has anybody tried to Import WarCraft3 triggers into a StarCraft map?
And if so......
Do they work?

I am imagining a whole new world of possibilities.

Sorry to burst ur bubble, but Warcraft Triggers are incompatable. First off, The warcraft Triggers can be saved, but they are a completely different format. War 3 Triggers rely on variables, and a whole bunch of factors that the SC editor doesnt have. The SC editor isn't as advanced as the War 3 EDitor.

Bubble has been burst,,, hopes and dreams have gone with them.

Deep down I had a feeling it would be that way, but sometimes people overlook the obvious, and I thought,,, what if...

Thanks for the info pan_the_man

I thought what if and tried in August when i first got my hands on the editor. Obviously it didn't work, the triggers are just so different. Warcrafts are so much harder to learn. I learned SC in less than 3 days, War 3 is still to complictated for me.

There's so much more in the Warcraft III editor... it was the initial reason I bought Warcraft III. The only real problem I have with it is the triggers--not that there are too many or that there aren't enough, but the organization.... there's so many types of triggers, like cinematic, animation, player, neutral building, etc... sometimes it takes a while to find the right trigger. Maybe sometime there'll be a mod for the trigger editor that'll fix that. The Warcraft III editor has got to be by far the most powerful map editor for any strategy game out there.

Still I don't think it beats hammer for Half-life. :D
