Diablo 2 Item Editor

If I download an item from the internet, how do I import the item into the actual game so I can use it online or in single player on Diablo 2.

where did u download it from

first download an item editor like shadowmaster or zonfire
then go to inventory section of editor and right click in a free spot or search for a button that says import,then find the file ur keeping the items. Double click on the item and thats it.
