Blizzard is hiring a Forum Moderator for their World of Warcraft forum!

Blizzard Entertainment seeks an organized, energetic, and highly self-motivated forum moderator for World of Warcraft. This person will assist the community team in moderating the World of Warcraft forums by enforcing the forum code of conduct.

An ideal candidate would be self-motivated, conscientious, and detail-oriented, with excellent spoken and written communication skills. This person would be able to offer consistently attentive, high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment. He or she also would be very familiar with the massively multiplayer online game genre and game forum dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively moderating the World of Warcraft forums
  • Answering customer emails and responding to reported posts
  • Writing detailed reports of daily activities and occurrences
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience working with an online community
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills combined with a passion for gaming
  • Strong customer-service skills and a professional attitude
  • Strong time-management and organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Pluses:

  • In-depth knowledge of World of Warcraft

Reason why you have to be in their center at Irvine = Direct monitoring of exactly what you are doing from your computer. Also they are putting you on payroll... so you basically get owned by them. Thats how it always works.
