Your Scary Computer Troubles

Last night my friend was on my computer when i was asleep. He freaking downloaded all this porn and and stuff on my computer and now i have to run all these programs and go through all these instructions to remove it. He changed half of my folders around, renamed, and deleted stuff. I told him to just leave my house when i got on it in the morning. He was like "its not a big deal, blah bllah blah" but i just stared at him.

So whats any of you guys' scary computer troubles either by someone else or by you?

I'd have given him about 5 seconds before I just trounced his ass. I have a ton of spyware on my computer, alerts come up all the time for it, and lots of pop ups. I'm the only one with access to this computer, due to a number of password protections, so I know there hasn't been porn accessed on it. Someone said it's because I use Internet Explorer. Who knows, but I tried getting rid of it and it just came back.. I think some program I use keeps re-infecting me. Oh well

The troubles are actually that of my friend and his dad. Considering I'm the only person they know that knows how to build/fix computers, I get all their work. They're also the people I rent my room from, so I usually end up doing all this work for free. I swear to God if I only charged $10/hour, I would have an extra $500 in my pocket over the last 6 months.

They bought a brand-spanking new Dell laptop three months ago, and I've already had to reformat and re-install Windows it was so bad.

The kid's father used it again for a couple hours last week, and the ****ing thing gets literally 15 popups when they sign on AIM.

So they bought another new Dell laptop...

His dad says he wants a computer "Nobody's touched yet" so it doesn't get ****ed up... That goddamn guy needs to be banned from using the Internet, or start paying me.

As for me, back when I was like 12, my mom bought a computer from Home Shopping Network. For one reason or another we ended up getting it "Upgraded" by the local computer repair shop. (Originally it was an Intel with 75 MHz with 16MB of RAM. It was upgraded to a 133MHz chip and 32MB of RAM)

After being scammed out of $2000, my computer was still ****ed up and didn't run right... I suppose you could say that was an incentive I had to learn about building/fixing computer hardware and software.

On a sidenote, the son of the guy that ran that repair shop was busted by the FBI for trying to crack into a government server and tax evasion.

Well, my old computer was possessed. Want some insight on that, hehehe...it's pretty funny. That computer had over 20 Viruses on it, I think. So much spyware, it was just as bad as well, it was pretty bad. Well anywas, me and Shadow1psc had a Ps1, and it was also possessed. The games wouldn't load right, and sometimes they would just go haywire. But it went from that to my PC, and the reason I say that is because Diablo 1 on my old PC loaded pretty funny. You would see the loading bar go all the way to the top, go down, up, a little down, up, really down, up, and we would be like, ''Wtf..'', then it would finally load and god was it funny. I ended up nuking that computer, it works still but it still does that thing with Diablo 1, and I do so love to check on it from time to time to see how fruity it is. With Diablo II, I would lag-run. In other words, my character runs slow, then he speeds up to where I can't see him anymore. I was just so addicxted to the game at the time, I didn;t really care and kept playing anyways, until I bought this computer that I am typing on, of course.

So yeah, my old PC was posessed. I'd have to go check to see all the other weird bugs it had. :-/

and @ cort, why dont u at least ask/hint at some money to be paid with? just be like, i usually dont do this for free or make some joke about it to get the guy thinking.

I dled a virus and could'nt open my control panel.. ugh.. it was a disaster..

Tried to find Emulators and Rom's online, going through sites without downloading anything I got about thirty Spyware/AdWare programs installed into my computer, two exploiters, and three trojans. I got rid of them all in two hours though...

Thats when I started to use Firefox... :yamer
