Your Nastiest Self-Muling Disaster

Well, anybody who has seen my threads (and you should since around here is so dead now) knows i like to read a good story. since i am realm downed it looks like a good time for a new type of story...............


the title says enough, i was just calling it quits after hours of trading. everything went beautiful, i have finally built myself up to the point now where i can consistently trade now for top notch stuff.

however i am all bymyself so no friends that can give me a hand with anything at all, so with my chars needing desperate muling i just decided it was time to do some quick self muling.....my story goes from there. i realm downed.

my losses? (might not be bad for the supposed godly people we may have here) 5 sojs, Homun w/1 P Poison Die Facet, Delirium Demonhead, 1 dracs, 1 shako, 1 key set, P. Fire Die Facet, Um, Ber, Jah.


sigh.........nothing more to be said about that, the sad part is that i traded every item of extreme value. so back to the drawing board.

so what about u guys? even if u feel like exxagerating way out of the truth, what was your most regretted self muling accident if you had any at all? :scary

my absolute worste insodent was back in 1.09 classic.

my friend stone was gone from diablo for about a month due to lack of computer so i was wawtching his account...well what i did, instead of watching his account of mules, i just stuck his shit on mya ccount (we shared pass's)

well in the middle of xfering i got rd and i was on 56k, then the net wouldtn connect.

i lost a ornate plate (the blue one for anyoen that plays east classic nl, i believe its uhm...Dire carapace?) along with an ss sword and a few duped rings...all together valued at roughly 20 soj's at the time (in calssic currency is soj's, most dupes cost 1-3 soj's, his ornate was 10 at the time)

i couldnt bare to tell him that happened so i acted lik enothing ever happened when he found out it was missing, i put all his shit back on mules and was like "i dunno dude maybe project rust deleted it?"

i dont feel too bad though cause it was just sitting on a mule account, and i gave him nearly all his wealth in the first place so :S

lol, i will never forget that Blue Ornate. I believe it was Doom Carapace like you said seemingly every mod imaginable.


i got back in good spirits today and played and traded a few hours. feeling alot better. started soloing hell with my new MF hammerdin...i couldnt believe how easy it all was. I only skipped a couple quests, but solo'd all of hell in a couple hours. Got a few nice drops StormSpire, Aldurs boots and helm and several pieces of sigs which i put together and traded for a Pul. I also traded a 3 OS archon i picked up for a Ber+Sur. Along the way I picked up every single Normal set that wasdropping like water, and traded all ofthem off for a total of 9 Rals and Orts to repair my Fenzy barb.

oh and i got an Um from Forge. my best so far.




so i geuss that means things are getting back on track, but damn.......i am still almost clean out of items i can trade. i have a mule full of perfs that i am going to try clear out but thats about it.

thats life, not my first major d2 setback and will not be my last........5 years of trouble and still going strong :mean :mean :mean

from what i remember, i've never lost anything while xfering on account that i never xfer alone. With big xfers I usually got my friend that is my neighbor to help me. Other than that, small xfers are helped with unsuspecting level 1s. Either in 'act 1 now!' games with several people, or 'mule perm' games with 1 or 2 people. Either way, i xfer in a3 near natalya just to be sure.

tupac you dont seem to be an @ss to people in general so i will be gentle and swift.


if you are "serious" enough about a game that you come to a web board to post near constantly about it and other games (not just your comments on the game but your expereinces which means you are spending time playing) that means you are not in a position to play all "holy and cool". don't try and disguise yourself with self riteousness.

next, if you are making a ermark about a game being his life, i would go as far to refer to the above and ask why are you do you spend so much time on a web board talking about it? could a game be his life and you just have none at all?

My most painful self muling accident was during the .09 patch. When dupes/hacks were in high quantity!

1x4os B.Valor (4xUm), 1x4os Monarch (4x40/15Ias), 1x Perf Eth Titans, 1x 2os B.Gaze, 1xSoulflays, 1x Perf Gores, 1x B.String, 1xThathackedamuletthatIcantrememberthenameof, 2x MF.Soj's. As you probabbly guess this was for a Zon. I made a game myself,permed the game.. wandered for a little while.. and funny story.. some guys were using my game name exx#//# for cow runs. I stripped my barb for that Zon (Everything except the Titans and Soj's came from my barb, I traded for the P Eth Titans, and I had the MF Soj's on my sorc who was half naked except for those and a shity Que-Hegans.) After this incident I tryed to refrain from Self Muling. There were also 2 Ith Fury BB's in there, which came off my barb, I had planned on trading them to get some gear for my sorc, as she needed MF gear. Sadly 1.10 came out about a month afterwards and my MFing became non-ladder, thus a complete waste. Without a doubt teh worst thing to happen. I never mentioned it, the cow runners took the gear. As I wasn't smart enough to mule in Act 5 or something.
