Single person. Name them and give what group(s) they've been in.

David Grohl
Bands: Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age and Nirvana

Grohl is simply my hero. He can play any instrument not only well but above the playing level of many before him. Known as the drummer from Nirvana, he used that recognition to start Foo Fighters short-after Nirvana broke up.

Current Favorite songs:
Everlong- Foo Fighters
Halo- Foo Fighters
Man Who Sold the World- Nirvana

David Draiman

Band-Disturbed

Absolutely godly voice, he has a vocal range that astounds me. He can snarl out sinister tones, or he can truly flat out sing with some serious heart. He switches in his music between yelling vicious obscenities about revenge or bloodlust and singing full out in an almost reverent tone. He has the coolest piercing I have yet to see, and his eyes just peer deep into your soul. The man is simply amazing. I've seen interviews with him, and his actual persona seems almost gentle, as opposed to the psycho image he puts out in some of his songs.

Favorite Disturbed songs:
Guarded, Violence Fetish, Meaning of Life, Remember

Personal favorite is Tenacious D. (which dave grohl did drums for)

Alone they aren't good but when their ecustics combine it makes a dominating force which constructs the greatest band on earth.

But when it deals with Single musician Hendrix.

Musician:
Billy Corgan

Bands:
Smashing Pumpkins
Billy Corgan (solo)
Zwan
Star Children
Fellowship of Broken Toys

Corgan is just an awesome singer in my eyes. Hes been in a lot of different bands and has tons of experience as a lead singer and guitarist. If it wasnt for his unique voice, Billy, i dont think, would have gotten too far in the music industry. He is such a emotional singer...

Favorite Songs:

Disarm, Stand Inside your Love, Tonight Tonight, To Love Somebody, A100, Dia, Lyric, and Landslide.

What is that Smashing Pumpkins song that starts out "the world is a vampire"? I love that song with a passion.

If it can't be a band I'd have to say Josh Ritter: Folk-rock singer songwriter with amazingly poetic lyrics.

If not Hendrix can't forget Zappa. With brilliant songs like "Why does it hurt when I pee" "Catholic Girls" and "Dynamo Hum" How can you not go wrong.

Dammit, CB.

I finally listened to Josh Ritter, and I actually really liked his stuff.

That's not supposed to happen!!

Anyway, most of my favorite music comes from actual bands, but if I had to choose one musician, I'd go with Ted Leo. His music makes you feel good, while feeling a little sad.

Did you get a chance to listen to the album Freak Out! yet? Think you might like it.

Cool, which song?

Golden Age of Radio, Kathleen, Man Burning at Both Ends, Me and Jiggs, Other Side... All excellent. I can upload them if you want to download them, but it might take awhile.

Do composers count? If so, Nobuo Uematsu would get my vote. If not, I'll edit my post and put someone else. :)
I did an interview with him, you know. It's true.

And uh, CB, I listened to Golden Age of Radio. I put it on my "to buy" list.
