Who plays Julien's RPG

Best RPG in War3 IMO, I think I have Hydra with few map maker's items and is indeedly god-like for now,

Does anyone else play it? (well I had that before I left for vacation, dont know if new version came out :scary)

Its an open RPGs, so many quests... and items, etc

I love the game, best RPGs out so far IMO

Open RPG's flat-out suck. They all have this "save code" which allows people to set lvl restrictions to 250 or something like that.

All you do is kill. Nobody bother to roleplay in them. It's kind of like Diablo, only more killing lest questing...

Which is exactly what I'm going against in my RPG, I get so sick of Open RPGs because they let people bring lvl like 99 characters and totally make it on fun at all, they get too boring too quickly.

i tried the original version of Julien's RPG the day Julien came on and put the DL ONLY room up. anyways, i think that first version just wasnt practical in terms of online play. it had great, great concepts and you could really tell the mapmaker wanted it to be an immersive experience, but the load time took FOREVER (imagine: WoW + FFORPG + CoT + Enfo's + 50 Tower Defenses). this lead to most games never getting past the load screen because lots of people didn't know what to expect and either their patience or their computer just crapped out.

one of the things the map should have is respawning monsters and an easier time for beginning characters (that is, added to the original version. i just gave up on it after that one so I don't know anything about this v1.1 that's going around)

I think you had to do some quest to get the char, convert your original one to hydra.

Hydra > marine btw, I tried both.

I remember i had 2 or 3k gold.. then i gambled it away for some items i sold back for even more gold.. then i had like 8k gold.. but then, you know, i gambled it away as well.. and lost it all.

How do you guys make money, except for killing monsters? I find killing monsters is a damn slow way to get money. If you don't have a good way of making money.. there ain't any point in buying potions.. unless its really neccesary.

Another thing.. it stinks that you get experience from doing quests.. I NEED MONEY MORE THAN EXP FFS !!!

last time anyone posted was a while ago but ill answer ur questions.

1st: marine is better in version 1.1 . his spell that stuns enemies permanently stuns them. unless otherwise stunned by others.

2nd: money. go to the center toen of gion ( if you can get there, lvl 30-40 mobs ) and buy a castle from julien the item crafter. build it on that little hill there and then sell it. its sold like a mercenary for 50% of its worth. sadly the makers missed something and it sells for 4000g. when u bought it for 1800g.

also a few other tips the quest of the ranger escort or priest escort at the begining is really anoying. at one point he runs threw these trees into a throng of mobs and dies. and u have to run a long way around. keep that in mind. also, secret heros are acheived with 50000g from a alter of the depth ( naga hero building ) in the south eastern part of the undead forest. lvl 51 mobs guarding it. it takes some time b4 they are ready to buy so play around b4 u go there at begining of game.

and to be fair the hydra is better if u take the marines stun away. his crits r insane.

MY QUESTION is how do i get in contact with this julien fella so i can ask him for rights to edit the map and fix all the little things i found.

like that quest i said, the money thing, the wolfs in the northern forest r really hard and the hydras arnt hard enuff. the ghost ring doesnt save also. aswells as that the whole giving ppl your vision. omg. id make a -vision all command and -unvision all alsi -ally all and -unally all. would that ever be convienient. anywho, thats my speal. good luck.

These maps tend to have tons of rippers and copiers so it's hard. You might find details on the map itself, or in the World Editor when opened.*

how to use teleport in this game?

Let me reply on that:

The teleport platforms are places u can teleport to, not from. So if u have somekind of teleport item (staff or teleport stone) u can teleport to these spots in the world.

Now I have a question myself. Has anyone killed kil'jaeden (lvl 184) in the north western ice area? How many times do u have to kill him? I smashed him at least 5-7 times but he always revives...

Also Id like to know whether anybody found juliens entire set? I have only his helmet so far.

As i've understood we can get Barbarian, Samurai, Undead, Julien's, Ghost's, Dragon, Ultimate, Semi-God and Materia sets, right?

How can i assemble set items into set? Is every set assembled at the same place? Tell me, which quests should i complete to be able to equip set?
