When i try to sign on battlenet it says unable to detect aplication version

i install starcraft and expantion (brood war) then i can play battle net easy, no lag nothing perfect, then once i shut off my computer or close star craft, when i try to sign back on battle net it says " Unable to detect Application Version " does anyone know how i can fix this? please reply ty in advance

It might be the patch you download from Battle.net.. I think i had that problem once too. I just uninstalled BW, downloaded the patch from Blizzard, installed it, and everything was fine. Don't know if it will work for you, though :doh

yeah i reinstalled it, and yeah i downloaded it from blizzard in the first place, then i uninstalled it then put it on again and got the patch from battle.net then did the same thing, but could it be that i have a burnt copy of the original star craft?

Did you install the patch?

My original SC is burnt too, but i have a legit BW which i use...

Check your computer for viruses, and run Defragmenter. If that's doesn't work, then i haven't got a clue what's wrong.. :doh
