    So what is Diablo II?

Well if you have to ask that question, you must have lived the last 10 years under a rock. Diablo II was one of the most popular games on the web in its day. Yes, it has aged over the years, and has lost a fair percent of its original population, but it is still growing strong. On any given day, there are over 5,000 players on Battle.net (only counting the USEast server by the way) at any point of time. Diablo II has dominated the RPG market, and has earned its place in PC gaming history. The plot revolves around Diablo, that’s right, the devil himself, as he does everything in his power to conquer the world. But it's not just him; it's an entire family reunion of demons in this game. His brothers and sisters, the Prime and Lesser evils, are all out to wreck havoc on the world as well, and tear any human limb from limb that may try to stop them.

The protagonist in this epic RPG, Cain, is there to guide you. He gives you helpful advice on your journey, and he is more than experienced in the demon slayer area. He has fought on the side of light and all that is good once in the past (the original Diablo) but he and his friends were unable to thwart Diablo from his plans, instead, he just delayed it.

As you run through the game, you will encounter creatures of every nature, from skeletons, to harpies, to ghouls, even "Corpse eaters", monsters who actually spit their own brethren corpses strait at you. As you fight of these hordes of evil, you will grow, earning experience and levelling, which will allow you to level up, learning new skills, having more life, and all in all becoming more of a badass.

You can choose from five classes, the Barbarian, Amazon, Sorceress, Necromancer, and Paladin, with two added classes in the expansion, the Druid and Assassin. Each of these characters come special equipped with their own skills, from running in a blazed fury swinging two swords at enemies, to staying hidden and quiet, and letting your traps do the talking, and it's all up to you how you wish to defeat the evil forces that be.

The world is consisted of four "Acts", five in the expansion, going from the green lush valleys of the Amazon, to the freezing gold tundra, home of the Barbarians. Beyond that, there is the "Arcane Sanctuary" a heavenly place controlled by the Arch angels of god himself, and the "Chaos Sanctuary" where Diablo himself resides, and yes, you will be going there, so bring a bucket of ice.

This is a game I recommend to anyone and everyone who plays videogames. It has a huge storyline (there are literally novels written about the lore of the Diablo series) this game would earn two thumbs up, but I'm going to have to borrow a friend, because I'm giving it 3.
