Holy shit man, Dead Poetic isnt bad! Not bad at all! Listening to:
The Dreamclub Murder by Dead Poetic

Dead Poetic's sophomore release, “New Medicines,†starts a fresh beginning. With their foundation built strongly from their previous achievements, Dead Poetic has ventured to evolve as well. Adding an additional member, guitarist Todd Osborn has not only pushed them creatively, but improved the depth of their sound as well. The band previously being penned in the hardcore genre is now breaking free with a true defining of their sound: full-blown, guitar-driven rock masterpieces.

Thats exactly how they sound- nice clean voice and vocals, nice screaming, and the music is wonderful. I love Jenny's music, Best she has reccomended so far. Thank you, PureVolume!

I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes) - The Used

Seemed to stop my breath
My head on your chest
Waiting to cave in
From the bottom of my...
Hear your voice again
Could we dim the sun
And wonder where we've been
Maybe you and me
So kiss me like you did
My heart stopped beating
Such a softer sin

(I'm melting, I'm melting)
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while

And I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
Now

Never caught my breath
Every second I'm without you I'm a mess
Ever know each other
Trust these words are stones
why cuts aren't healing
Learning how to love

Arcturus - Star Crossed

We-
organic images
dissolving earth
Our future children
sure at us unfixed
from a residence of stars
in their sidereal ships
ho sailing beyond within
Their eyes
black in kingdoms of gold
like the rocks of this desert
where we wander in circles
tails up the ass of time
And our vision
goes backwards
the traces we see
after something
ot even existing
beyond the prints
All dreams end here
where our cries began
resounding to museums
of a world we believed
neverending
And we stop
exhausted
beginning
not again
And the panic
like the light
of some star
exploding
Flashing in black holes of not knowing
if we ever made a away out of this mud

Highly under-rated band...from a highly under-rated artist. Kristoffer 'Garm' Rygg is a great artist...also the vocalist/musician of Ulver. His music is always very diverse. In ulver, they started out as an atmospheric black metal band...pretty 'raw'...and then started tranforming into a more folk metal type band..and now he works on totally 'industrial' type pieces...but it's very moody and atmospheric (Perdition City..excellent album). Great to listen to. Arcturus was his other project...which started out the same way...yet went to more of a melodic black/death band..but so much more...it's pretty dark sounding. It's really, way different, and very hard to classify in any genre at all. The vocals change from a black metal style...to singing....to almost chanting...it's very hypnotic. The music is wild and moody..it changes very often. He has a good growl and singing voice. So yeah..this song starts out with about a 2 minute long piano piece...and changes afterwards...progressing through the song. The vocals are clean. It's a very awesome song :p[/deepred]

Same as I said before about RBF.

As I typed this it changed to:

Third Eye Blind - Narcolepsy

I don't really like Third Eye Blind, but my mom has a bad habit of buying CDs she doesn't like and givin' em' to me (No complaints) and I happen to like this song.

dear abby_ dead kennedys
i love these lyrics
Dear Abby,

Got a problem. I'm a decent, underpaid, hardworking county coroner. It's
important that my family eat meat at least three times a week. But we just can't
afford to with the prices the way they are. So I bring home some choice cuts from my
autopsy subjects. Just mix in the Tuna Helper…and ta-da!

The whole family thinks my new meals are delicious. They ask me what's
my secret. Abby, I think they're getting suspicious. My smart-ass 8-year-old keeps
asking, "Where's all the meat? The red dye #2 kind that's kept in the fridge."

If they find out the truth I don't think they'll understand. Abby, what do I tell
my family?
DEAR REAGANOMICS VICTIM: Consult your clergyman. Make sure the body's
blessed and everything should be just fine.

Nine Inch Nails - Right Where It Belongs

See the animal in his cage that you built
Are you sure what side you're on?
Better not look him too closely in the eye
Are you sure what side of the glass you are on?

See the safety of the life you have built
Everything where it belongs
Feel the hollowness inside of your heart
And it's all right where it belongs

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems
What if all the world you think know
Is an elaborate dream?

And if you look at your reflection
Is that all you want it to be?
What if you could look right through the cracks
Would you find yourself - find yourself afraid to see?

What if all the world's inside of your head
Just creations of your own?
Your devils and your gods all the living and the dead
And you're really all alone?

You can live in this illusion
You can choose to believe
You keep looking but you can't find the woods
While you're hiding in the trees

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems
What if all the world you used to know
Is an elaborate dream?

And if you look at your reflection
Is that all you want to be?
What if you could look right through the cracks
Would you find yourself - find yourself afraid to see?

..one of the few songs on the new album I like. Sadly, NIN's newest album is the first piece of their work, that I can actually say is quite mediocre. However, there are a few good songs. This one has to be the best...it's very sombre...I like it.[/deepred]

Seasons In The Sun - Terry Jacks

Meh, me and the one-hit wonder thing again.

It's actually non-disco music from the '70s :O

Nine Inch Nails - Dead Souls.

NINE INCH NAILS - Dead Souls

Someone take these dreams away
that point me to another day
A duel of personalities
That stretch all true reality

They keep calling me
Keep on calling me
They keep calling me
Keep on calling me

When figures from the past stand tall
and mocking voices ring the hall
Imperialistic house of prayer
Conquistadores who took their share

They keep calling me
Keep on calling me
They keep calling me
Keep on calling me

Calling me, calling me [x2]

They keep calling me
Keep on calling me
They keep calling me

RoaCh got me this song, or recommended it rather. I like it a lot, but it's still not as good as Chaos.

Jumping on the NIN bandwagon.

The Day The World Went Away - Nine Inch Nails

I'd listen to the words he'd say
but in his voice I heard decay
the plastic face forced to portray
all the insides left cold and gray
there is a place that still remains
it eats the fear it eats the pain
the sweetest price he'll have to pay
the day the whole world went away
