Best way to counter Toss w/ Terran

Here is a set of tips to counter Toss.

--Build scvs up to 7. Then build a depot.
--Get 2 scvs and build 2 barracks.
--Build a couple rines.
--Get an acdemey working as fast as possiable
--Get a comsat station.
--Once the acdemy is up, build firebats, like mad. Also get some medics to heal yourself.
--About this time you should get a factory going and get some 4 tanks.
--Hurry and get at some 10 bats, 8 rines and 5 medics
--Now use those tanks to start attacking whatever cannon defense you se in the front.
--This will mostly likely draw out one of two things, goons or lots.If it is goons, you stimed rns will make short work, if lotsuse your bats
Using this guide,you will be more likely to prevail over toss.

All it takes is a few psi-storms and strat goes: bye,bye.

Well, actually it depends on how fast your enemy gets psi-storm. If you excute this attack very fast, they will be finished. But if they tech straight up you're right.

Common sense where you'll get kapoofed doing this strat:

- Reaver drop

- Zealot rush

- Psi-Storm (according to your BO they can have it way earlier)

- Drop you while your attacking

and many more.

There is no fail-proof anti-anything strategy. It's all about adaptment.

The strat the original poster started sounds like bacanic(bio-mech) which sucks anyway. Unless toss doesn't see it coming.

M&<'s aginst toss? Pfffftt. Always go metal and drop or push. It works for me alot of tims.

M&Ms against toss seems stupid but if it's a small map like detonation, then you can go for M&Ms WITH TANK SUPPORT. Just substitute the vultures for M&Ms, or even better you can go for 6 marines, 2 medics, and some vultures for a really early rush ( I've seen Nada do this) . Marines can kill dragoons if there aren't too many. And after that rush fails or works, you can go standard vulture + tanks.

M&M with firebats in early TvP is not that bad. When reavers and Templars arrive, that's a different story, though

Yes, as sak says, it is circumstantal, its all about how fast you are, his main start, but keep in mind THAT THIS IS JUST A SORT OF STARTER!!

yea especially the zealot rush is usually pretty quick if it comes. Othetrwise they just tech straight up to goons. I say forget bout the tanks and just go with bats and medics fast fast and stim his guts

that changes everything. wait..... that strat would suck even more. no meds. haha. In the replay, v-gundam opens with m&m into tanks and zeratul counters it with pure goon micro into speed zeal/temps to summarize.
