cleanplay, one thing you want to do in the beginning is do ALL the quests you find. im assuming you made a human paladin, so just do all the quests possible in northshire abbey before leaving, then go straight to goldshire and do all the quests there. the kills in the quests, and the quest rewards themselves often get your character going fast as hell.

also, ironforge is a huge city that you get to from the deeprun tram (its a tram that goes from the city of stormwind to the city of ironforge. once in ironforge, ask a guard where the auction house is, and that is where the "marketplace" for WoW players is.

Whenever I visit Stormwind, the colors go crazy when I go foward and I can only see the map. When I go backwards in the town its fine though. It's only in this city...what's goin on?

You're traveling through time. Thats whats with all those colors.

But in all reality since you made a paladin you inherited whats known as the "Palliosis." It's a pretty deadly disease that one gets when they add a number onto the jillions of paladins.

I've been a good girl so I guess im entitled to spam..Once and a while. <3

One of my friends had the same problems. It was his video card, you might also want to check your driver.

Ah thanks a lot. Did he ever cure it? If so, he just bought a new video card?

Just visited it again, and it does really ruin that apsect of the game. Even when I am walking there, the backround just from that city is flashing all different kinds of colors. I am FAR for a computer buff, so what should I do?

well for starters update all your drivers and go ingame. From there, hit escape and select video options and set all of them to the lowest setting (it still looks pretty nice). Other than that, i don't know what else to tell you.

go to your video card's website (ati, nvidia etc.) and download somethign called a "driver" which makes your hardware perform better than it does currently.

I had to update my radeon 9600 to play wow.

Cleanplay, I want to offer some advice. Do what TheNamelessYam said and
do quests but take ALL quests you can find. Even if you think it is too hard,
you may be able to get in a group with someone. You can have up to 20
quests going at a time and I doubt you can find that many to do at one time
so go ahead and get as many as you can find. You'll get experience, items,
and money as well as better faction. Faction meaning a better reputation
with the city that the quest is in.

Oh and I wouldn't worry too much about it being a PvP server until you get
into the higher levels and starting travels to other continents. All cities are
heavily guarded by NPCs. NPCs are Non-player characters such as the
guards and sentinels and such.

Here are a few websites that may help you out. I suggest you browse
through them real quick even if you don't have any questions - you will
learn a few things you didn't know.

WoW Allakhazam's
WoW Stratics.com
WoW Caster's Realm

Those are websites that I used to use when I played EverQuest.
There are more websites but in my opinion, those are the best.

Did you get everything working right yet?
