Shooters: computer or console?

Which do you like best?
I personally am a big fan of playing on a computer. Not just because of the better graphics, but also because of the mouse. I find it to be essential. However, nothing beats an old school frag fest in your living room. Some drinks, snack and split-screen with your friends.

What are your thoughts?

I think that unless if I'm operating on a Wii for accuracy, computers are the way to go. I'm better off clicking than trying to wade my way through the control pad.

How about Gears of War? I loved playing that game on a 360. I can play it on hardcore no problem. Later in Gears of War 2 even on insane.

Perfect cotrols, and the community seems closer through XBox Live. Also: does nobody care for the ownage effect? When I curbstomp somebody right next to me: awesome.

Try playing an any RTS on a console or Quake III CPMA, impossible!

I prefer PC controls over Console pad - my bro has them all ps1/2/3 but i'm never good at any shooter games there. But i own CS with my keyboard / mouse.

mouse has more precision but controllers have something that i havent figured out yet. some people say speed which is partially right

Speed? You can't be serious, controllers get destroyed by Keyboards & Mice when it comes to speed.

Shooters on the PC are a lot more fastpaced, thus more exciting, thus better.

kinda. regardless with how much dpi/sensitivity you put u still end up trying to be accurate..well at least for me

all this breaks down is what people like to play more, PC or console. so arguments like this is just to troll each other imo such as what is better to use in a fighter between keyboard, gamepad, joystick, or arcade stick.

Any fighter game: classic PSone controller. You can hook them up with an adapter, or buy a remake.

A keyboard only allows 3 keys at a time to be pressed, xbox 360 d-pad sucks, and PS3 triggers are pretty bad for the genre as well.

Fight games usually are best with controllers.

Maybe instead of equality certain games are better with certain inputs.
