Why is it that some members lost a significant amount of posts and others got to keep their old post counts? I don't care that much I was just curious?

We didn't selectively remove from users' post counts.

If you happened to post in a thread we deleted, your post count was adjusted accordingly.

Certain staff members lost an above average number of posts because they had access to the Staff Forums, which were cleared out after the server move.

When going for advertisements doesn't it draw in more cash when the forum has more threads and post?

Two things;

I'm not concerned with cash at this point. If I was, I wouldn't have bought the forum.

Secondly, no one wants to advertise on a forum filled with spam/garbage posts.

I can't remember what my post count was before the wipe. I think it may have been around 13k..so I prolly lost upwards of 3000 posts. Back in the day that would devastate me, but now..not so much.

I would agree with Max on this point.

Forged, as for how many threads there are, you gain more hits from spiderable threads, correct, but if someone is looking up something and lands in OUR asylum, it wasn't the traffic we were looking for anyway, thus we didn't lose anything advertising wise. As long as we don't destroy our actual content forums, we are fine. Max could wipe all the general forums chit chat included, and it wouldn't disturb the flow of guests he is trying to achieve.

I'm more worried/upset about the precious few threads I made in asylum of any real worth.

I posted in the asylum because I got to callout all the newbies and flame thier patheticness. Does that make that forum any less of a trashcan? HEEEELLLL NO.
