Solitude Everclear

In solitude, in contemplation,
I am enveloped in thoughts.
Alone, undaunted,
Forevermore I fought,
To keep my lines of forbearance clear
To steel my soul from haunting fear
The taking of my everclear.

To bear before,
And make our time,
Not idle plagiarism.
No foolish mime!
But imitate a flatterer,
And innovate a foolish scheme,
Whose people crowned him emperor!

Crowded by the Worldly Thought,
Alas, alas! No hereafterly thoughts,
Last beyond a couple cycles,
Except for those heedful...
Except for those mindful...
Except for those faithful...
Who remember...

Be silent of mouth, but never in thought,
Let run to minds content...
The flows of whimsical or Earthly draught,
Refresh the springs of matter grey,
Whose fount' bring forth
A lucid display
Ultimate lucidity only to oneself...

In Solitude is found Everclear.

In Loneliness Lucidity.

Silence is Wisdom.

This poem originated from a short phrase I adopted as my MSN name: Solitude Everclear In solitude, in contemplation, I am enveloped in thoughts. Silence is Wisdom.. Contemplating this phrase, I attempted to explore the two themes of solitude and elucidation, and how they interrelate in the cacophony that is human thought.

Please feel free to comment as you wish. I value all opinions, even OMG TAHT IZ T3h GH3Y!!!
