Or perhaps Colossus are also looked at as both air and ground units.

I don't know. I think maybe my title was deceptive. Figure the missile turret can either attack ground units, or colossus is a ground/air unit. But that is a odd for a unit to be.

Maybe the height of the unit "colossus" is the same height as that of a hovering air unit, and is classified in essence air/ground. So the turrets are set to attack it.

I'm hoping they have an upgrade that allows turrets to fire at ground units.
That would REALLY change the game.

Two of the other screen shots suggest that the missile turret turned to attack the rushing zerglings. Maybe missle turrets may now fire missiles at ground targets. could be sweet.

Really? This other trailers shows turrets only attacking colossuss, even when zealots ran into them before colosuss did.

Turrets wont attack ground units. Terran already have siege tanks & bunkers for anti-ground defense, they don't need another.

I think it's quite possible that those colossus machines are considered both, because they're sooo big. That'd make the game interesting to say the least.

Well, that's because they're tall as hell :p

It's an interesting concept, though, ground/air units.

I wonder...they seem to be making stuff closer to relative scale, like how the Siege Tanks are so much bigger than Marines now. Maybe Ultralisks will be beefed up to be big enough to count as ground/air as well...maybe even big enough to be able to swipe at aircraft.

No telling.

Meh, BCs are still the same scale as ever, so I don't really think Ultralisks will be gigantic monsters.

In the first PvT battle artwork trailer you can also see Missile Turrets attacking incoming Colossussi, but not any other unit. I would assume that Missile Turrets are able to strike the Colossus because is very tall while still being a ground unit (it did no run into the safety of space in the gameplay demo while being attacked by the evolved Zerglings).

I'd like to see the missile turret shoot a cluster of missiles, more like the valkyrie.

at both air and ground targets.

If it was against a single target it wouldn't be overpowered, just looked cool.

But if it does splash damage it is overpowered.
