Renzo: post-rock is ftw. Explosions In The Sky, 65daysofstatic, Yndi Halda, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, Mono, pg.lost, This Will Destroy You.... it's all closely related to Sigur Ros though none of them have the ethereal hoplandic vocals... most of it is instrumental.

Edit: +1 on Nas for hip-hop. New Kanye blows chunks, don't get 808s.

You download the scrobbler for your music player... there are scrobblers for all the major ones I think.
