Do you have a last.fm profile?

If not... what specific subgenres of electronic are you looking for, and what are some bands you enjoy from all of those genres. Just so I have something to start with :)

As a starting point:
Electronic:
Breakbeat: Bassnectar - Underground Communication
Drum&Bass: Black Sun Empire - Driving Insane
Pendulum - Hold Your Color (Not strictly D&B but still good)
Dubstep: Kraddy - Truth Has No Path
Psytrance: Sphongle - Are You Shpongled?
IDM: Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Allat Született
Ambient: The Orb - Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld
Electro: Amorphous Androgynous - The Isness
Electrofolk: Electric President

Rock:
You really need to get more specific here... decades, subgenres, etc.

Alternative isn't really a genre... I'll deal with that in rock.

Cold War Kids, The Vines, Sam Roberts?

Indie:
Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears - Flight of the Knife
Andrew Bird - Noble Beast
The Hold Steady - Stay Positive
Radical Face - Ghost
Howlin Rain

Hip Hop:
Black Star
Black Violin
Classified - any
Deltron 3030
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing...
Hilltop Hoods - The Hard Road (Get The Hard Road Restrung if you want it with orchestral music)
Madlib

Renzo: post-rock is ftw. Explosions In The Sky, 65daysofstatic, Yndi Halda, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, Mono, pg.lost, This Will Destroy You.... it's all closely related to Sigur Ros though none of them have the ethereal hoplandic vocals... most of it is instrumental.

Edit: +1 on Nas for hip-hop. New Kanye blows chunks, don't get 808s.
