if it drops u back to desktop, its prolly a virus. it happened to me when i used to play bw using an old comp

this was happening to me.... some reasons might be that you possibly have a copied version of windows. i don't know if it means a virus but it means something. i just cut my losses and stopped playing SC altogether. but the computer ended up breaking and i had to buy a new one.
