O and faerie, the last i knew Hunts were classified as ranged, so footman CAN use defend against you.

Ranged does not matter. why is it people do not understand, defend reduces Piercing attacks, not ranged attacks, so magic and seige attacks won't be reduced because they are ranged, only piercing.
Therefore hunts have no effect when facing defend.

Yeah, the whole ranged/piercing thing confuses a lot of people....its not that hard though so I dont know why.
Also, I personally favor a mix of archers/hunts, it makes for a better combination. Throw in a warden with FoN, and your good.
