I use downloading to sample a ton of music, yeah, but I also have ~300CDs. The quality is much better and you have a hard copy that will still be fine if your hard disk dies. Plus it's simple to play in a car or just around the house in general. Plus is assuages my guilt slightly by supporting the industry I'm helping destroy.

If CDs were a more reasonable price I'd buy them all the time. As is, I don't want to buy a CD and then find out it blows. I'd rather download it and then buy it later if I enjoy it.
