Depending upon how you look at it, the Interim Government, for Iraq, is on or ahead of schedule. As President Bush promised, control has been handed over to the Iraqis. As President Bush promised, we are letting the Iraqi police force(s) handle more and more situations as they arrise with US troops as back-up. The Ba'ath, Al Queda, and other terrorist organizations are being handled and have been forced into a near retreat as they are forced to go from active, attack status to sleeper cell status. Even then, we have tracked many down and are hunting them with that fervor we have come to know our troops to have.

The Iraqi Interim Government shows the Iraqis that we respect their ability to self-govern and we are willing to help them and stay the course. President Bush is in the course of helping two economies recover. Iraq's has been shattered for thirty years and is finally seeing a true revival. Ours was shattered by the same, or similar depending on how you look at it, terrorists when they crashed into those towers on 9/11/2001.

In the course of less than three years, we have nearly caught Osama bin Laden. There are even conspiricy theorists who believe he has been caught. We've brought a tyrannt into custody so that he, Saddam Hussien, may be brought to justice after a lifetime of evil. We have forced terrorist organizations (if you can call them that) to group, regroup, retreat, and become innactive. Allies and Civilians have been targetted and killed only to strengthen our morale and resolve.

Since the Interim Constitution was signed and Interim Government implaced, hostilities in Iraq have lessened. US Troops have gotten involved less and less, but are always there for back-up. Terrorist have been rounded-up and caught. We've even see interesting events occur over the past year, alone.

North Korea has renewed diplomatic relations with the US and China. India and Pakistan have signed an arms agreement. There has been forward, possitive momentum in Isreal concerning the Palastinians. There have been more talks between Isreal and Egypt. Afganistani and Pakistani forces have fought alongside US forces to flush terrorists out. Syria, Libia, and other "arms holdouts" have opened their boarders to UN and US Weapons Inspectors for the first time in nearly a decade.

There are more than enough possitives to look back at over the past three years. There have been plenty of possitive movements, and the signing of the Iraqi Interim Constitution is certain to be a stablizing force. It only requires the same stout-hearted, rock-hard determination we've had for the past three years. President Bush has shown it. I continue to show my support for him, the US, and our troops as they move into what will likely turn out to be a roller-coaster ride of difficulties and smooth-sailing. I have no doubt that terrorists will continue to do what they have been. Though we are fighting them better, they have begun to target Iraqi police and political leaders. Iraqis and Allies must remain strong. Faltering will only bring all to naught.
