IMO WoW is no different then any other addiction and it'll usually win out.

The better question is how can you keep their WoW playing to a 'normal' limit. The answer to that is you really can't soo....

Ingame you're constantly surrounded by people who play just as much as, if not more then you, but IRL people would look at you like you're nuts if you told them how much you play.

Non-gamers just don't get it most of the time.

introduce him 2 Guild Wars or DoTA or just tell him to forgettaaboutit and slap him across the face. btw the guild wars trilogy (everything) is only selling for 50 bucks now, pretty cheap considering it came down from 150ish.
