I cant install diablo II PLEASE HELP

Well I lost my d2 cd key, so i asked my friend that doesnt play anymore, and he lets me use his. When i type it in, it says INVALID CDKEY. I know i didnt spell it wrong because i tried it at least 10 times. So this leaves me no choice but to buy one, and i try typing it...IT DOESNT WORK. INVALID CD KEY. Now im ****ing pissed. What the **** is wrong with my install disc, (well i made an image using alcohal 120%) but im pretty sure its the same thing.

no, if it was muted/banned then it would let you know, it wouldnt say invalid

if its saying invalid there could be a few reasons:

1. ive noticed that D2 doesnt like cd images, it prefers the real CD [even cd crack doesnt like to work 100% of the time for me]

2. obvious answer: your friend wrote the key down wrong whenhe gave it to you.

Mmm..was worth a shot. I've never had that problem with no CD's Though. =/

Call your friend and see if it's correct.
