100% agreed, HL is THE ultimate FPS... its like what? 11-14 years old now? Noone's topped it yet.

battlefield 1942 is fun too, but theres no mods for it... If only they had mods...!!!

Been out since 1998 and it revolutionized the FPS genre.

What are you talking about? BF1942 has some great mods. The one I used Desert Combat is awesome. It's BF1942 but it is taken place with realistic weapons/vehicles/skins/maps/ and they even have helicopters. Fun as hell you should check it out. There are other ones to (not as great as Desert Combat IMO).

Hl 1998? you must mean CS.. My dad used to play orig HL when I was a lil kid...

I have only played Halo on Xbox a few times..it wasn't bad.

I play CS right now, it's pretty fun.

I will have to get Halo 2 when it comes out and try it then ..

Which is why someone I talked to in school today about Halo, said it's a better Goldeneye 007.

Of course you can play Half-Life online. What kind of an FPS would it be if you couldn't?

HL was released in 1998 and CS was official in 2001.

Half Life will always be better then Halo. Half Life is better then most games out there, and is also the most prized and played for an tournament. Every year you can earn 200 thousand just buy winnning a tournament in Texas, called the CPL. But to win this you have to play with thousands of players from around the world. You think Halo, Diablo 2, WC3, Soldiers of Fortune, or any of that would be able to host something like that? I highly doubt it, I don't even think they would pay for it!!!

halo for pc isn't that bad, i really don't like the xbox version though...

I agree with Axl HL is better and i am definetly going to get hl2 if i get a new comp around it's release date.

HL does own Halo. I like them both, but HL is definately the better of the 2.

I know for a fact HL was out before 98... I have a receipt here, i bought TFC in 1997.

The original HL was the first ever fps I played, it was a burnt copy and one day my dad flipped out for some reason and snapped it in 2

Ive tried halo and to me its just like all the other fps out there. HL kills halo by far.

Off topic: Theres alot of talk about Doom3 also, some people are saying itll be far better then HL2 or Halo2. . . I cant wait
