These are all links to the 500KB Steam download. Steam is the program required to play Counter-Strike 1.6 online. Once you download and install Steam, you will be able to set up an account using any of your Half-Life CD keys and you will then be able to access any HL mod.

Download Steam + CS Cache. If you just download steam you have to update all this crap that probably will take 50 tries.

Im having a hard freaking time with all these update i have 56k and i just finished getting 1.5 and it didnt update right now i find out i have to redownload it with a 56k modem then get 1.6 jesus christ thats like 450mb.

If you have CS 1.5 installed, it won't take as long. The installer will borrow CS 1.5 files for the cache.

ahh thank you but my friend burn it on a cd for me and 1.6 is ok not a whole lot better in my opinion.

Cd keys are terrible things so it wont work without a gen IDEFY. my eyes hurt...

Nah jk I already have a cd key but it is kinda dumb how we have to have a cs cd keys right? Like we have to use cs cdkeys and not hl cdkeys?... Well I don't know I havn't gotten steam to work yet.

All HL and HL mod cd-keys work. So, Half-Life, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, CS, and DoD keys should all work fine.

hey how come evertime when i go to play my Cs on my computer Steam comes up all time to and says must reinstall steam then i do but it keeps sayin it after it installs.what do i do???
