Nat's 1.10 PvP Bowazon

This will be a quick guide to make a formidable Amazon in PvP. She will be very good against Casters but also vs Meleers, and she will be very hard to defeat in duel. But let's come to her stats / skills / gear.

Pay attention: gear can be very expensive.

Stats

Strength: min to wear gear. Verdungo requires 106 str, so this is the max str you need. If you're going to use a BotD crusader bow, you need to have 78 str. Keep in mind that:

- Perfect crafted gloves give +15 str
- Perfect crafted ring gives +20 str
- Perfect annihilus gives +20 str

So you can have Str = 20 base + 20 ring + 15 gloves + 20 Annihilus = 75. Then you just have to put a few points in str to have 78, wear BotD and wear verdungo (BotD = 30 str more). But when switching to Titans' and shield, you will loose 10 str, so be sure you can continue to wear Verdungo also when switchin'.

If you are going to use a rare Matriarchal bow with kickass stats (see img l8er in the post), you have to spend some more points in str to have 106 str and finally wear Verdungo. And you have no problems when switching. If you don't want to waste more points into Str, use a String of Ears instead of the Verdungos.

Dexterity: all. Dex = damage. Nothing else to say.

Vitality: base.

Energy: base.

Skills

MAX Guided arrow
MAX Critical strike
MAX Avoid
MAX Evade
min 12 Dodge
1 to Valkyrie
1 to all pre-reqs
1 to Jab and Charged strike

all the remaining points go to Dodge (or if you want to make pvm faster to level her, to Multiple Shot)

BotD Gear

*Jeweler's Bone Visage of Mammoth [3x 40 ed / 9 dex jews]
Jeweler's Archon Plate of Whale [4x 40 ed / 15 ias jews]
Verdungo's Hearty cord (ideal = +40 vit, 15% dr)
BotD Crusader Bow [40 ed / 15 ias]
Crafted gloves with 15 str, 20 ias, crushing blow and other nice mods (godly if with +2-3 to bow and xbow skills or with +2-3 to passive skills)
Gore rider
Cat's eye
Ravenfrost (20 dex, ar does not matter)
Crafted ring with 20 str, some dexterity and other nice mods (life, etc.)

*NOTE: you can go for a "Mechanic's Tiara of Whale" and you'll have only 2 sockets to fill in with 40 ed / 9 dex jews, but you will gain about 60 life. The choice depends on you.

Switch: you need a tank switch while running, or when you have to go melee.

Eth Titans 200% ed
Artisan Troll nest of Deflecting [Shael, Shael, 40 ed / 15 ias or Shael and 2x 40 ed / 15 ias]

The choice depends on what you want to use: with 1 Shael you block @ 10 frames, with 2 Shaels you block @ 9 frames.

Matriarchal bow gear

*Jeweler's Death Mask of Mammoth [2x 40 ed / 9 dex jew + 40 ed / 15 ias jew]
Jeweler's Dusk Shroud of Whale [4x 40 ed / 15 ias jews]
String of ears (ideal with 15% dr) or Verdungo's hearty cord (if you want to put some more points into str)
Rare Matriarchal bow with kickass stats (see picture below) [40 ed / 15 ias]
Crafted gloves with 15 str, 20 ias, crushing blow and other nice mods (godly if with +2-3 to bow and xbow skills or with +2-3 to passive skills)
Gore rider
Cat's eye
Ravenfrost (20 dex, ar does not matter)
Crafted ring with 20 str, some dexterity and other nice mods (life, etc.)

*NOTE: you can go for a "Mechanic's Tiara of Whale" and you'll have only 2 sockets to fill in with 40 ed / 9 dex jew + 40 ed / 15 ias jew, but you will gain about 60 life.

Charms

Annihilus +20 to all attributes (resists are less important, exp does not matter)
32x 3 max / xx ar / 20 life small charms
7x 3 max / xx ar / 3 run small charms

If the place where you duel allows you to have more than 100 run, use more charms with run, especially when dueling Sins or Barbs.

You must also have some mono-elemental resist small charms (better if with life) to face elemental opponents. And I also advise to have a Dwarf Star, a Trang oul's Belt, a Wisp projector and a Vampire Gaze with 20% dr (socketed with a 40 ed / 15 ias jewel if you use the mat bow, or with a 40 ed / 9 dex jewel if you use BotD) for some duels.

Some pics of the bows you'll need to duel:

BotD Crusader Bow

Rare kickass Matriarchal Bow

Keep in mind that With BotD you will attack @ 8 frames, with Matriarchal bow you will attack @ 7 frames. I prefer the rare bow, that is absolute pwnage in duel.

Tactics to duel

- Barbs / Sins: be equipped with tons of charms with dmg / ar / run small charms, or you will loose. These opponents are very fast, and if a barb or a sin is able to whirlwhind at you, you are probably dead in one or two hits. When facing these opponents, a Vampire Gaze with 20% dr can be very useful. So you have to shoot @ them with guided at the start of the duel, then switch to Titans/shield and run more and more not to be reached by them. If you are caught in melee with them, try to finish them using Jab (vs Sins) or Charged Strike (vs Barbs). Why this? Cuz Sins usually have low defense, and it's not so difficult to hit them with jab. But Barbs have tons of defense, and you have to use an ITD attack to hope you'll hit them. Hope that, if a barb is able to reach you and go melee with you, he has low hp. Or you've lost the duel.

- Necros: use the Valk to attract bone spirits, and just try avoiding the shitty bone spirits and bone spears, and shoot guided arrows more and more. If you are pretty good in duel, you should win. Don't let necros come too near to you: they have a very dangerous and powerful attack that is very effective vs zons, i.e. teeth. If they come to you and use teeth, you are in serious trouble. Try being fast. Faster than them. If you need to be faster, use more r/w charms. The same is for Nova Necros: you never have to be reached by them, or they will hit you with nova. When you duel novanecros, if you aren't so good in avoiding them, use Iratha's amulet and some charms to have a total of about 175-180% poison resist. And their damage, if they hit you, will be very low, cuz their death's web, facets' and trang shield -opponent poison res bonuses will be erased. Keep in mind that if you use Iratha's amulet you will loose an attacking frame, and your arrows will be a little slower. But in some cases, vs novanecros that amulet can make you win.

- Sorcs: if they are Fire or Lit sorcs, you will easily pwn them just avoiding their fireballs / meteors / lightnings and shooting guided arrows to them. Against Fire sorcs use a dwarf star instead of the Ravenfrost; against Lit sorcs use a 20% Wisp projector instead of the Ravenfrost. Use also some fire or lit res small charms to have about 90-100% resist, so their attacks won't hurt you so much, if they can hit you. In a few arrows, they're pwned. Cold sorcs are very dangerous cuz they have cold mastery and can kill you in 1 hit of Blizzard or Orb. If you want to be good vs them, don't use max / ar / life charms; use tons of small charms with 10/11 resist cold. You should be fine having about 320 cold res; then, cold mastery will not have any effect on you. If they're hybrid lit-cold sorcs, use Trang belt and Wisp projector, and you should be fine.

- Paladins: if they are pure chargers, they will win only if they are lucky, and able to get the 1st hit on you. Otherwise, you will pwn them. Use Gaze vs chargers, cuz they deal tons of physical damage. If they aren't chargers, always shoot arrows at them, they should be dead in 3 or 4 seconds. And owned. Be careful when dueling FoH'ers: always stay out of conviction range, use the valk to take dangerous FoH, and if you're quite fast, you should win. Use a Wisp projector instead of the Ravenfrost against them.

- Druids: no chance, they are pwned, whatever they are. Shoot at them, just try avoiding them if they teleport and continue shooting when you can. They usually have tons of life (like barbs), so it can be pretty long to take them down, but you will win 99/100 duels with druids. If they are elemental druids, be sure to have about 90-100% resist cold (so you will resist also to eventual facets in their gear), and their hurricane will not be a problem even if they teleport at you.

- Zons: if the zon you duel is a copy of you, it's a very interesting duel, based on the ability of the player. If she is not your copy, she will be pwned. ;)

Thanx to Guru, I've made some modifications to the build.

1) Suggested 2 different gear options, depending on your bow.

2) Suggested 2-socketed Tiara with life and jewels or 3-socketed helmet with life and jewels instead of Shako. Also suggested gaze for some dueling situations.

3) Changed some imperfections in socketing jewels.

4) Added some more info about gloves / stats / skill points.

Now I think it's a pretty good build. Tell me what you think.

i take it this is 4 a nonladder bowazon cuz ladder zons would use a faith bow and fortitude armor and i believe that a 2 socket gaint skull with 2x 40/15 ias jewels would be better cuz of knockback and for gloves +3 bow 20 ias gloves are good sum others include 20 ias knockback or crushing blow and life/resist mods. Just though id mention a few other options 4 ppl and btw sorcs arent ez to own cuz they can just tele away from the arrows range specially lite sorcs :p
