COTA-GoD's Ultimate Hammerdon Guide

[COTA-GoD]

This is my hammerdon, i will show you exactly how I made it. It has served me VERY well, I will update the stat spread as i have changed gear alot from when I first started it. Lets get started.

Items

Weapons :

Hoto :

Hoto has the Cast rate, Resistance, and the 3 skillers. Three Very important things for a weapon. This will be the main Weapon.

Call To Arms :

Call To Arms has the battle orders and battle command. Important for on switch for more life and skill level.

Shilds :

Zak :

Zak will be with the hoto, and will be the main shild. Zak has skill levels, faster block rate, more chance to block, str, vit, and massive resistance. Very good shild, Even better with a Um rune or PDiamond Jewel.
Lidless :

This is for the extra skill level with CTA, no other reason.

Armor :

Enigma :

Enigma has Teleport, massive str, damage reduce, skill levels, and damage taken goes to mana, and when put in a Dusk, it has nice defence, and super low requirements. Awsome armor.

Helmet :

Shako :

Shako, 2 skill levels, 2 stat levels, damage reduce, lots of life and mana. Great helmet. With UM rune, or 15res all jewel, it has resistance as well.





Gloves :

Mage Fist :

Many people will go with Frosties, i wish those people would be shot. Frosties are horable. Magefist has faster cast rate, and faster mana regen, its awsome. Best caster gloves IMO

Boots :

Soul Spurs :

Spurs are duped classic boots on useast non-ladder. They have good resistance, lots of str and dex. I would probally switch them for Grim Spurs if i had them, for the faster hit recovery. You can upgrade these boots 2ce if you want with :

1 Ort Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Normal (Basic) Rare Weapon = Exceptional Rare Weapon

and

1 Ral Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Amethyst + Normal (Basic) Rare Armor = Exceptional Rare Armor

Belts :

Arachnid :

Arachnid has 1 skill level and faster cast rate, its awsome.

Tgods :

I like to keep extra stuff in my stash for when i need it, which is why i got tgods in my stash. Its used for more life, more light resistance, and a tad bit more defence.

Rings :

SOJ :

Two SOJ's are needed for skill levels and more mana. Thats all that needs to be said about them.


Amulets :

Grim Necklace :

This is my main Amulet. It has Resistance, skill levels, and lots of str and dex. As well as it has some mana.

Mara's :

This is for when i just need that tad bit more resistance. I eneded up trading mine though.

Charms :

10*Combat or Offencive Skillers, try to have 12fhr or high life on them

9*20life/mana charms, do your best.

Anni :

Part Two

Skills

Skills to max :
Blessed Hammer (Main Attack)
Blessed Aim (Synrogy)
Vigor (Synrogy)
Concentration (Main Aura, brings up hammer damage)

Put the rest of your skills into Holy Shild for more defence.


Part Three

Stats

Str : Base (25 That is all that is required with this gear, you can build up to Zak str with this gear))
Dex : 116 (This includes the 3 stat quests and is assuming you have the EXACT same gear and stop leveling at lvl 90, make sure you have 194 dex total for max block)
Vit : All the rest. (More life=better? gg)
Eng : Base (No more required.)

i think enigma mageplate is a better choice than dusk.......... dusk req 80ish strgth while mageplate is 55

Dusk has 77 req and you need that extra str to get up to Zak, also dusk has more defence.

I used Waterwalks on my old 1st ladder hammerdin.

They seem probable, you could pull off 15 less dex, while having more life.

Instead of Spurs? I would probally just throw on some Sandstorm Trek's because of the str bonus and faster hit recovery. The Vit Helps Too. My Real Choice would be find some other rares with gawdly str and resist, lol.

Man, I feel a bit silly honestly. When I first came across this forum, I didn't origonally think it was inhabited by the normal little kid crews that run the other forums. Boy was I wrong. At this point, I'm not even sure why I keep responding, being as its futile talking to you guys.

Aye....Its pretty hard to teach people to play hammerdon...i guess it all depends on who you are trying to duel, or kill. If its a boss, run on top of them, tele on them,and you should now be under them and just hammer the shit out of them, thats the tanking strat. If you are in a crowd, tele in the middle of them and hammer the shit out of them, crowd tanking strat. Now if your dueling a sorc, foh pally, or anything ranged, other than guided zon, stay far enough away from them, lay down about 10 hammers, tele away from them more, do it again, they will chase you and 9 out of 10 times they will run right into those hammers. Remember not to just do it in a streight line, you gotta be erratic about it, so you get hammers going on the whole map. If you got a quick clickin fingur and you are good at switching skills using hotkeys, you will be A-OK.

I was looking to figure out where to stand to get the first hammer to hit a monster...but that works..

IE: Where do you need to be to always hit em?

My last ''Rusher'' hammer pally was pretty godly, but i stripped him within a weak because id spend so much time tossing up hammers trying to get them to hit... i guess thats the newb coming out.

You have to be beneith them, hammers come out of your shild, go up some, then start turning clockwise.
