I don't see how you could possibly know this. We're not talking like pew pew lazerlazer guns like in Hellgate. We're talking oldschool pirate weapons and what not. They're nothing like todays or sci-fi guns.

And honestly, what's the big difference between being able to shoot 20 arrows at a time 4 times a second and shooting a gun? There is none. And, for the record, I hope they do put in guns, so idiots like you won't be playing.

Kinda makes you wonder how they'd ever do a SC MMORPG. SC is super high-tech so your hunter/ranger class would be firing gauss rifles and other gnarly weapons. Crikey just thinking about it makes me want one, haha. Having Zealots tanking Zerg, awww yeahhh.

That would indeed pwn.

Just to weigh in on this whole gun dispute, I wouldn't bet on guns being included in D3. The fanbase for D3 doesn't want guns, and Blizzard knows this. However, if they DID include guns it would be balanced. It's not as if they're going to throw in one class that rapes the shit out of everything.

No Freaking duh ty

I agree they wouldn't make it like this but then whats the point of the realism like what are they gonna have the magiclly fast reloaders or sumtin shooting a bow in game is possible especially for people who use it that much but a gun????? And a gun would rape everything and the dwarf in WOW if you put it excactly as it is it would be hated by most d2 players

how about a dwarf class in diablo 3? that would be new and nice.

I agree that would be cool but i would again scrath the gun but then he would be melee oriented and then we would have 2 barbarians..........

ur like the morons that say they're gonna move out of the country if X is elected.

No No not really......

if blizzard man's up, we might get one
The success of World of Warcraft has made it "difficult" for Blizzard to embark on a StarCraft MMO, the developer has said.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com at Games Convention in Leipzig, executive vice president of product development and Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce said that while upcoming RTS Starcraft 2 isn't the last we've seen of the franchise, a StarCraft MMO is an "overwhelming" and "scary" thought.

When asked about the chances of a StarCraft MMO, Pearce replied: "It would be a lot of work! But the thing you have to remember about the MMO genre, especially now that the bar is set by games like World of Warcraft, WoW has been in development since, in some shape or form, 1999. There's people on the WoW team that have been on that team for nine years. So there's nine years of technology and story and content that are created. The bar for entry into the MMO genre, whether it's Blizzard or someone else, is very high as a result. So you're dealing with a market where games have nine years invested in them.

"And so to look at StarCraft and say, well we could make an MMO out of that. Well yeah, but how many years would we have to invest in it to create the quantity of content and the quality of experience that would be required to meet just the minimum standard that's set by the games that are out there right now?"

Pearce admitted that Blizzard's own success with WoW has made it very difficult for the developer to develop a StarCraft MMO.

"We've made it very difficult for ourselves and it's an overwhelming thought!" he said. "I've been there at Blizzard since we started on WoW and it's been a very long and arduous journey. And to think about taking that journey again with the StarCraft franchise is a little scary! It makes an RTS like Starcraft 2 seem very achievable."

However, Pearce added that there is plenty of scope for the StarCraft franchise to be "leveraged for any number of different genres", comments which are bound to add fuel to the fire of speculation that shelved third-person console shooter StarCraft Ghost isn't completely dead in the water.

He said: "The StarCraft universe is really rich, and it's got a lot of cool stuff in it that could be leveraged for any number of different genres. A big factor would be what the development teams want to work on. When the StarCraft 2 team is done with StarCraft 2, a factor is what they want to work on next, because the development teams plays a big role in deciding what they're going to do. So if there was a development team that was really passionate about leveraging the StarCraft universe for a different genre then that's something we would seriously consider."

the dwarf class could be very much different from the barbarian as it is different from the paladin.

yes but i agree, the guns are kinda off in diablo so i think the dwarf man needs to have axes as his main weapon.

samurai class would be awesome.

You alone do not speak for the entire Diablo fanbase.

In fact, I've seen threads on other forums specifically talking about the inclusion of more 'modern' technologies like guns and cannons, and for the most part it's spit down the center. Half think it would be a good idea, half don't like it. I've hardly seen anyone, other than yourself, go to such extremes as to assume that if they put guns in the game no one would buy it and that it would be a major flop.

Blizzard doesn't even know when the release date for their games are. They don't give you one anymore because they always push them back I don't think blizzard has ever released a game when they said they were going too.

the thing is, blizzard can afford to push games back while other game companies would lose thousands of dollars on extra production times.

No guns imo. Guns = Warcraft, guns = FF.

Not to mention guns are so narrow a class of weapon, compared to bow/crossbow/longbow type thing.

and they won't use any names from other games. No rogue, nothing from WoW.

Barbarian
Witch-Doctor
Some Porjectile User
Some Holy/Light/Healing type character
A mage/element specialist

That's what it will be

I dunno. the fact that there will be no health pots(at least not any you can spam) hints that there might be a healer type class. that said, i have 100% faith in blizzard. However d3 comes out will be fine with me...just knowing what the classes are excites me more!
