Are Smiters Better Than Chargers???

I'm on my second attempt to make a charge pally, and someone in game said smite pwns a lot more. This true???

My charger might hold a rather noobish quality (wields a shield (phoenix))
but this is for extra dam and better def., instead of a botd war pike.

What items do elite Smiters pwn with?
Exile?
Botd?
Fort?
Angelics?
Andys?
Gores?
Rends?
Verdungos?

Can smiters take on those crazy barbs?

best idea is to do mix. Do a normal smite build and put spare pts into charge. Smiters can usually take barbs cuz smite stuns them. U should either use eth exile in a vortex shield or and uppd hoz.

test results have shown otherwise. well, i didn't do the testing myself, but the results were posted by reliable sources.

grief damage.. they have told me that the +dmg it affects directly in your life.. is this true??

not true. the dmg is added to ur base dmg, just like what charms do.

So would an exile in vortex with 62%ed/ +101 ar be good for smiter? smite isnt associated with AR right? What gear is pwnage? I'm using grief now, but doom looks nice because of holy frost aura and + 2 skillz ... COA helm?? that sounds like pwnage... also what skills do i max?

no fort dosent affect smite... amiters can use coh or nigma. Coh 4 res and nig 4 str

Use Exile (For life tap) and dracs (For better life tap when it works ). Weapon; if you cannot get a grief I would use a grizzy weapon with several shaels. CoH armour, the +60% tiara, verdungo's belt, gore riders. I'd say to go with 2 bk rings because you cannot lose with +2 all skills combined. Amulet? I'd have to say maras for more +skills.
And of course your backup weapon would be a (perferably perfect) CTA and spirit shield.

Str = 55 - 90 Depends on armor
Dex = 90
Vita = all
ene = base

Weapon = Grief or if you can't afford Fleshripper
Shield = Zakuram HOZ or Exile
Armor = COH or enigma i prefer enigma
Helm = 2 BER COA, Ber gaze OR BER shako
Ring = 1 raven and other wat ever you want
Glove = 20 ias str/dex resist or drac
Boot = Tearhance, marrowwalk, treks, or 30 frw str/dex resist
Ammy = mara, high lord, cat eye, rising sun (vs fire sorc) i prefer Highlord
Secondary Weapon = CTA/SPIRIT SHIELD
Charms = ANNI, TORCH, and 35 x 20 life sc or 9 combat gc with life or mix them.

Max out smite, fan, holy shield, and difiance.

A high def coh is by far the best smiter armor and again the fort DOES NOT ADD THE ED TO SMITE ATTACK.

Quite a few people under estimate Astreon's Iron Ward for a smiter, grief is by far better but, a good Astreon's can be great. + damage and + magic damage not to mention +4 skills, CB and AR% for when you charge in to get close, just be ready to deal with all the crying about slow.
