THIS WAS NOT MADE FROM A TUTORIAL!!!
IT IS ALL ORIGINAL WORK!!!

well, i guess you could say this is an old (medieval, most likely) flail...

made in Bryce 5, it is one of my best works ever in, at least thats my opinion...

the chain WAS made from a tutorial, but thats because i couldn't figure out how to make chains...

other then that, it is original...

too short a chain, no texture. i saw that in a tutorial once... was it made in 3DS Max because gMax is so simalar to 3DS Max and a gMax tutorial mentioned how to make a MACE, so i believe all you did was just make the mace handle different and added a chain...

He's implying that it takes only like 5 minutes to do that.

Materials take seconds to add, it's not that big of a thing. All you did was make 2 spheres, put a cylinder in between then, then made the chain (torus in torus, copy / paste) then a larger sphere with pyramids on it. You then put alll of them on one material, and you were done. That takes about 5 minutes. CB did the same thing, and that prolly only took him like 4-5 minutes, which is why he said that.

I'd give CBs a 5/10 because no texture and it's all in a straight line but other than that the handle is pretty solid but, it's not really realistic, just look at the ball... cones and a sphere. The chain on there would wack you in the face :) if the handle was slightly shorter. I like the handle it's sweet! Some shading which was good.

I'd give Lord Hishado a 6/10. The handle isn't styled enough for me and all the links in the chain are exactly the same(Cb's is like that as well but less noticable. The first bit of the chain is really good but the rest of them don't seem like the links are actually looped so next time try to make the chain look a tiny bit twisted.) but there is a nice rusty texture. It's like something I would see in a old video game :). The spikes are different lenths unlike CB's but 2 spikes are almost black and one is facing directly to the P.O.V you should have them slightly angled from the "camera" angle. Some shading again.

Oh, no. Adding textures might take another 30 seconds. Making the flail a figure in poser adds up to maybe another 5min. Posing...hmmm...another minute?

As for the realism...
It's modeled from an image of a replica.

And, no. I didn't use a tutorial. That's fairly easy without a tutorial.
