| Re: Guys, give me some advice here Unless you're prepared to re-level professions then i don't think it's worth it. Remember, once WotLK comes out you might actually need LW'ing again.
EDIT: Personally, i'd just keep what you have. Have you seen any new mail gear? The new badge gear? Anything as good as the sunfire stuff?

| Re: Guys, give me some advice here It's tempting i know, if it was boe i'd snatch up myself a pair of those as soon as 2.4 hits (And someone has the pattern). Just get 4pc t6.
How do you go on raid dps anyway? My shaman is elemental and is about to start raiding, i've been topping meters in 5mans but that's easy cos everyone sucks. Just sorta wondering where an elemental shaman fits into the damage meters.
Also, do you use LBx3/CLx1 or LBx4/CLx1?

| Re: Guys, give me some advice here It's a complicated matter, really. In low level 25 mans elementals can actually be top of the caremeters easily, since they need jack **** on regards to spell hit rating, which is the single most important stat for any caster. As draenei, you need 38 spell hit from gear, for example
Meaning you can easily invest on other stuff, while everyone else has to still invest in hit rating in order to cap it. And as soon as you progress trough t5 content and get enough crit (26% unbuffed come 2.4), and you start investing on pure spell damage, you can also be quite ahead on caremeters.
The problem comes with t6 instances, with all the hit from all DPSers being capped with gear alone, they can gem for pure damage and so they'll be what you were in the beggining. An elemental shaman can never hope of pulling as much constant dps as a destruction warlock (the most overpowered thing ever due to all those synergies) or a good hunter/rogue.
But I'm starting to collect some haste rating gear which is also very important.
To answer your question, it depends on the fight. I am usually first in fights that depend solely on ranged nuking (Al'ar, Leotheras), but if the fight involves any kind of moving, baibai.
I'm also one of the best geared DPSers in the guild so that's why
As for rotation, go LBx3/CLx1 if you have good mana regeneration (invest on crit, not mp5, and get a spriest ), and get to LBx4/CLx1 once you get enough haste for it to be worth it (so you can fit another LB into the CL 6 seconds cooldown). If your mana regen sucks, just spam LBs.
What's your char anyway? Can't find it anywhere I know it was Thardus or something but it disappeared damn you! |

| Re: Guys, give me some advice here I can't believe you already have the trinket from Arcatraz, damn you >>
I got exalted with Sha'tar just by doing it and it never dropped.
I see you're not afraid of downranking armor btw, which is good :P Plenty of leather can cloth from badges. |

| Re: Guys, give me some advice here Dude, never gem for spell penetration. Even stamina has more use in PvE than penetration. Don't gem for pure crit either, spell damage is still awesome.
I'd say you should stick with Potent Noble Topazes and Glowing Nightseyes (if the socket bonus are nice) till you can start going pure Runed Living Rubies.
Also, never enchant mp5 or crit, or intellect, except for teh shield, which you'll want the badges one as it will last you till Archimonde.
And if you crafted that helm you can also craft this one. Or you can wait for Prince's Dagger.
Gratz on teh kilt tho. I had to go Exalted and beyond in order to get it myself.
Lasts till Zul'Aman so keep it. |

| Re: Guys, give me some advice here Nice, i'll work on that dagger next. Thanks for the find.
About my gems and enchants, i am an enchanter so you'll find i'll have pretty retarded enchants on gear. 6mp5 on chest? So what? I'm not wasting a +6 all stats (Which i can't even use yet, don't have the adamantite rod) on my blue chest. Or a +150mana for that matter.
I'm just waiting for the right gear to enchant properly. And as far as that spell pen. gem goes, it was a heroic gem so i stuck it in there. Saves me spending 30ish gold for the same spell damage but like 60 extra health.

| Re: Guys, give me some advice here It's not the same spell damage as it goes for 5 spell damage and 6 stamina, wherehas that one has 5 spell crit and lolpenetration.
But yeah, understandable that you'd want to save gold. You'd need it for that epic flying mount you already have .gif) |
