MMO's are in general gay like this! This crap applies to all these online MMOs....
1. How many hours of play does it take to get to level 60?
about 1-2 weeks, 12total played hours just about if you dont dick around and you know what your doing
2. People have also told me about PvPs...BUt im pretty sure they dont take as much skill as counter strike. Do you Pvp all the time???
Takes more skill acutally you have to know when to hit certin buttons as exact times and shit
3.Brandon ur signature is fuggin hilarious...ROFL
thanks
4.I dunno about diablo being more addicting. Ive heard otherwise, but i guess thats just opinion...
it was for me atleast...
5. "However it takes skill to build up your character, learning how to improve it and being able to do instances without ****ing up DOES take skill."....this is 95% repetitve crap... 5% skill
Nope..
Souless...i can do that with my eyes closed, while playing with my penis...
wtf?
I don't doubt the game is not fun...but how do you feel when you get off the pc after playing for 4 straight hours (im not particularily addressing you because ur probably more diciplined)?
4 hours? weak...
OKay...maybe WOW does take SOME skill....but it is ridiculously small compared to other games.
Takes alot more then most games.
So if i took the population of wc3 players and averaged their time played per day or per sitting....and compared that with the WOW players...ur telling me there wouldnt be a great difference?
There would be because you get bored of rts compared to mmo
Some raids take 4 fckin hours i hear....wtf is that bull?!? How does getting a social life/gf/job have to do with this....ur still going to sit ur ass down for 4 hrs instead of 1-2...plus the craving to sit back down and play is way higher than CS or Wc3...
4? more like 6+ easy..
cmon guys please be a bit open minded about this...I do agree that some people are more diciplined and can quit more easily and play for less time though....(like speedy) | Yes, only because you get bored more often. and read what i said in the quotes.

| There is a difference between getting yourself to be better and getting 40 people to be better and organized. WoW takes the cake I am afraid |

| Just please, whoever you are on these forums...Gaming this much is just straight up wrong...I used to be hooked on diablo and wtv back in the days...Just play in moderation...No need to play for 4-6 straight hours and piss your life away, even if you have nothing else to do in your free time...Trust me, something else will come up if you get ur ass off the pc...Go to the gym...watch porn...play with your toes...
With WOW, its probably hard to just sit for an hour and get up because the raid takes a year and sometimes you just get hooked and before you know it, hours pass by...Thats why i am disuading people to play this particular game.
WOW IS THE DEVIL....LOL

| Time? There is so much time.
From 7am to - 4:00 pm im at school doing schoolwork and afterschool weightlifting, from there i go home and do homework, eat, and play WoW and goto sleep its pretty much a done deal, now with here in the next cuple days i might get a job, and thatll take a cuple hours more outa my life but nothing big and still have some time for WoW, a person like me can quit anyday and not look back.
WoW also depends your age and where you live, where i live there is nothing to do.. no dance clubs or theme parks or anything even CLOSE to here not even a mall..

And on the note of skill...it takes alot, depending on your class. Pretty easy to own as a warrior, i have shitty blue gear and i still come out on top of any BG in kbs (Admittedly, it's ****ing hard to get high kbs in AV, with all the ranged dps going on). On the other hand, playing a priest is hard (PvP), and i must admit, Ryan is fawking good at it <3 |

LOL...Ever since i moved to this country, i thought the same thing...There is nothing to do LOL...why dont you go snowboarding/skiing...
So on average, how many hours per day do you spend on wow? Don't you have any friends at school you can chill with? Don't slack off on getting the job...I guess...

Also, about half the strategy is found in sheer numbers and what spells/abilities and traits the partners have learned. Let's take The Black Dragon Queen for instance, there is no strategy fighting her. You just go with 30+ people and combat her. Then move back and heal yourselves and return to combat. The Priests or Druids would just be jacking off healing powers while the Warriors, melee Rogues and melee Druids fight head on. Quote: |

Some just do it for the "Whack off" purposes, hence why I called it Whack off Warcraft. I for one have also seen videos of friends who eavesdrop on another friend who caught him masturbating and whacking off to thier characters. Not a very pleasent sight if you ask me. There have been others that even have done stupid retarded things like buy items from the internet off gold farmers or people that have died because they played it for like 1-2 days straight and thier health got the better of them.
I blame the stupid cartoonish Night elves... thanks for ruining the apperance of a race that looked bloody awesome in Wc3.
I myself would play it. But I wouldn't turn into an addictive shroom. I just don't really like going to a point where I get bored of it then I have to cancel my subscription. I have known a few people that ended up just selling WoW because of this reason alone. Oh yeah and about that, why does nearly everyone have to rely on thier parent's money to play it. You got jobs half of you, PAY FOR IT YOUR BLOODY SELVES.
The only real advantage it has: As RyanXWing said, there is more fun with your friends than it is with complete strangers. But that is still just proving my point about strategy in numbers. I have a few friends myself that play it (Dream_walker, Renzo, Starsoft).

| I have friends that have played Mages, and I have seen videos of awesome PVP elementalists who mostly did Blink and a combination of slows with Fire spells.

You dont understand that on higher level it is a bit like chess where you know your units and micro and it means to outsmart and outplay the opponent. Thats what i find worth playing. In the same way i can say WoW sucks, just because i dont play it, as you do for war3.
And it's true if you play 13 games (about 2 hours) in battle net or even less you will be bored for the next 3 hours at least , then you'll either play dota or smth else. While in WoW you'll play till you complete a quest/gain lvl /etc., etc and that makes it much more hours. A fact that cannot be argued about. |

If WoW were free,I would play it
| Most of the nubs here who complain about WoW didn't play the game ,because they can't pay monthly fees.I feel sorry for them.
They just say "my friend Told me that it takes no skill and waste of time"
Yes,I want to waste my life on WoW.It's better than running on the streets and watching porn. |

| That isn't a skill, that is a process.
You basically proved Pan's point without knowing it. Quote: |

I also don't like the fact you are judging a game based on the people that play it.
Ask yourself: What about your game? What makes the people in WoW different from the ones on Wc3? They will always be the same, no matter how different or farfetched it sounds. You will have friends, make enemies, and even get noobs, nothing different.

Firstly, most WoW players have no ****ing idea what build they've got going, it's usually a bit here and there. There really isn't a cookie-cutter build as such, for any class. Most people suck at their class, seriously. 99% of shamans have no ****ing idea how to use a grounding totem properly.
Secondly, each talent build you take has it's strengths and weaknesses, a mage who pyros alot and blinks like a mother****er isn't a very good mage, and can be wtfpwned by any class, depending on how good the player is.
Just play the game, get a 60 and you'll realise how much skill it takes when you start getting your ass handed to you. Quote:

No offense Ranzo, but why don't you play melee and REALLY see how much skill it takes when you start getting your ass handed to you as well. Note that DotA doesnt count, for it is a custom to a game you play.
However, these arguments would just go back and forth. Eventually people would start hating each other, and that would be kinda sad.
