The trash mobs in there, as well as Doom Lord Kazzak and Doomwalker all have AoE abilities that would probably drop your Mage in about 3 volleys. Not enough time for a healer to save you.
You probably tear it up in 5-mans, but you need to consider having some more Stamina if you want to be a viable raiding Mage. Can't DPS for shit if you're dead after every Shadow Bolt Volley. |
I have a raiding set that I use that has about 3k more HP that worked fine in Kara. Put me right around 9.5k HP, 11kish HP fully buffed. Though I sac'ed around 400 spell dmg =/ |

| Kara is not a raid, it's a big party.
Seriously, he's talking about Magtheridon+ raids, not something as simple as Karazhan.
And why in heavens would you need 10k HP for kara? |

And honestly, all this e-peening about how much +dmg, mana or health you've got is really getting annoying. Care to post some DPS charts to back up your gear bragging?
Here, I'll start. I only came in #2 by 4,000 ****ing damage, after getting a full resist on my 3rd to last fireball! !@#$!^%!@#$

| Hmm, that's weird. You're even using the curator's staff, which gives you less spell damage than your main/off-hand combo.
And those warlocks, really low. No offense, but is your guild that good? Or do those huge changes on the game really matter that much? |

| I'm in my full +hit gear in that SS to avoid shit like full ****ing resists, hence the Curator's staff. (It was my first piece of Kara loot, hell yeah I kept it! Gruul resists spells like a mother****er!)
As for the low DPS from the other classes, some of them are complimentary talent builds, such as Shadow Embrace to reduce damage the tank is taking, etc.
Looking at that SS, I can tell you the guys in the top 10 spots in DPS are very competant with their classes mechanics. As for the rest? Maybe some were having an offnight, or died early in the fight. That SS was taken a little after combat had ended. More than 2 people died I'm sure.
Splittinwigs tends to offheal a lot, so I'm sure he's not given enough justice only showing up at #13 on the DPS charts, and I know those Hunters in that SS just sucked though. Quote:

My actions speak louder than my actionbars! :grunt

| Haha. True - but now look at my UI. That owns. It's clean and it works, though - it's not a raid UI.

| Ye, I picked a boar again for two reasons:
a) They really are damned good.
b) I had to go all the way back to freaking Durotar and do all the hunter pet quests, so I might as well pick something I like, again. |
