I used to remember those old crappy 1 HP Paintball maps.

But yeah I used to play it a long time ago.

I still play War2, but not as often as I used to. Which is to say, a reasonable amount, compared to the 100 games a week I used to log. Not easy to rack up 5000 wins, you know. Okay, well, it IS easy, it's just time consuming.

I do remember the Midnight Reign, though 5 and 9 were really the only two I liked, and I remember when clan dots was started.

I didn't mind melee in Wc2. I just didnt like the fact that all the units were pretty much the same except casters, heavy melee and upgraded ranged.

I was in clan Mr' at one point, but I was more of a free castles player than a BNE player.

It is a shame the pop limit in war3 killed free castles.

Re: Just curious, any old skool WC2 players?

I played war2 for some time b4 Roc Beta to make the connection. I even made a custom map. Thx to war2, I chose my race to be human. The funny there was:

- blizzard imba kills fast an entire army
- coil was an ability of death knights and ogres look like balloons

Re: Just curious, any old skool WC2 players?

Coil basically raped anything that wasn't an Ogre or Knight. The only difference the races had was in thier upgraded range, the spells the t3 melee had, and the mages.

The races are the same, minus those casters.

I still play sometimes, I really don't do the BNET thing anymore on it though. Use it mostly as a refresher for the time line the games went through.

I have the Battle.net edition. Which seems to run the game better than the normal versions.
