Hello, I'm sure right now you're thinking wow what a noob, but. I've tried almost everything Blizzard or anyone else reccomends and none of it has worked, personally, I'm sick of having to wait for someone to make the game I want to play, yes I've opened those ports which number combonation's escape me right now, I need help please. :bouncy :bouncy :bouncy :bouncy :bouncy
it also depends on the router you are using. I have a newer Belkin router. With those routers if you set up your ip address manually on your computer (for example say you go into your tcp/ip settings and type in 253.234.64.4 for your IP address and subnet mask is always the same, and then a gateway of 253.234.64.1 .) You can then choose an option in the belkin router control panel that is named "DMZ" when you click on that it will want you to enter you computers IP address (the reason for making it a static IP addres). Once you enter your IP address into the field and click the box to turn it on, it effectively puts your computer (your IP address) Outside of the firewall/router range and lets you host normally. The only downside, is that it opens your computer to the net so to speak, but it is still a little bit harder to get to then if you were not behind the router (since the external and internal IP addresses are still different)
ever heard that if you make a face it might stick that way? well when you don't make a game for 2 years blizzard decides you will never make one and takes away your ability to make games. Sorry, you should have asked 18 months ago.
