NE~countering spellbreakers as ne

i just played a game, and i was 3rd tier NE.. with a couple of casters, an archer, couple of hunts, and 1 chim...(later 2)...and this guy teched to spellbreakers and all he had was 2 heros, and a bunch of spellbreakers....and guess who lost?...yeah, i got owned....so does anyone know how i couldve countered that to win?..because its pretty sad that i lost to it.

versus spellbreakers? First off your going to need to realize they have medium armor. and piercing does reduced damage to medium but takes extra from meele. Now if they jsut massed spellbreakers, units such as talons, and chims become useless because of magic immunity.

You need to scout, and if u saw something like that, get DOTC and get the bears. however do not use roar or the healing spell because breakers will jsut steal it from you. Also I would suggest Mountain giants, and perhaps more fiends. Meele wastes spellbreakers rather quickly.

dotc + farie dragons?

roar is ok, just spam it and it waste all the breakers mana stealing it, use mana flare and when they try to steal the roar it will just hurt them more then it will do good!!!

haven't tried it but sounds effective enough.

spell breakers arent cheap and theyre about as strong as 2 footmens just use hunts w/ bears or mg or anything that is a good tanker in ne

To successfully counter them is with bears and dryads. Maybe toss two chim in there but that isn't neccessary they couldn't attack the breakers anyways but they are nice to have.

Spam roar with scroll of protection maybe toss a healing scroll but again thoes iteams arn't neccessary. Then burn the MK and you will have no problem taking out a human player. and cast rejuv on hero's when low run behind the line.

DemonHunter try to stop him from creeping. Warden second.


If you don't like teching.

Use hunts MG's and Dryads for the dispell. Maybe toss a rejuv bear in there.

dont be silly theroy.. bears and dryads will NEVER work against mass breakers because in the end breaks are the COUNTER to bears (coz of the dotc mana).

Your best bet is giants with hunts (since hunts got normal damage but no mana) some archers and some dryads.

Bears own breakers. Badly. I'm in the lv 30 solo range and have no problem taking out human players with it. Only time it's countered is with air. What solo range are you in?

hes right vbad, spammed roar does works wonders on breakers. mortars are a far more effective option becuase you eliminate the dryads and give your spell casters a purpose again.

pls tell me. mana flair doesnt work on breakers? I didn't think flare was a spell, I thought it was an ability. hmm
