NE~How do you counter gruntapault?

Can you? As elf. Everytime I win against a gruntpaulter it's always luck.

With human I use gryphons as best gruntapult counter. Think of what you'll do to them with chims, they'll have shamans with bloodlust and if you have some chims + the rest you usually do -dryads , dotts, giant they are owned.

Well I use hippo strategy but everyone say it sux

problem is that gruntapult is tier 2 and bears and chims are tier 3

those do work but what do u have untill then. HUNTS. witch gruntapult owns, so basicaly if they hit u as soon as they get 2-3 pults out ur screwed. if u could hold them off tell tier 3 distract them some how. then u might be ok.

also u have to hide the fact ur getting chims well so they dont add hh or berzerkers

Kotg + Hunt harass slows down orc by huge time

Hunts can do their work with bears at tier 2, bears healing hunts and with speed of hunts, they can get into close range and get catapults like that, and entangling grunts continuously with manapot.

Meanwhile you'd be teching and getting bear form and chims

Well here's the thing.

KOTG is huge risk to take over the DemonHunter do to the farseer will harass you and he will do a lot more damgae with his one grunt and two dogs then you can do with entangle and his peons in burrows.

So you defend on it. Entangle the one grunt and you will most likely get owned by dogs and seer so stay close to wells till you get hunts by that time most of your wisps will be dead.

So to counter that get archers that will take a million micro to keep them alive from the speed of the wolves.

Demonhunter can neturalize the Farseer by lowering his hp with his high attack and mana burn to lower mana so that's probably best choice.

Tech to tier 2 is mistake if you hard tech you will get owned off the harass if you went keeper.

Bears dryads wont work until you hit tier 3. They can get 4 paults and like 5 grunts before you even start that roost.

So Really there's no really good counter too it for Elf as of now. The replays I seen is the pros out micro it. tier 2 bears healing hunts dosen't work do to the hunts dead the time you cast rejuv on it. 150% dmg to them at 600 life at 200 dmg an attack per pault that's insane.

Chims would own and it usually comes down to having hypo riders from the archers you get after the hunts and they go behind and target the paults and if you're lucky and have enough you'll kill them off and he'll run away. The time he comes back and rebuilds that you will have 4 chims. and then it's over. But only one tier 3 unit the elf has that can't counter that( That can easily be countered again by the orc)? That seems stupid.

You could just try a really fast tech to air because the orc would not be able to beat it. Try a mix of air and hunts and move the hunts around while your air takes out the pults and then you finish off the grunts. Yes, I agree, it is really hard for NE to win because most of the NE units are weak to siege and pults are very very strong.

mountain Giants. Mountain giants move in and taunt, then u can circle ur units and focus on demo. when they try and attack u taunt them.

and KOTG isn't a great hero for solo, but more for team games

funk mass bears require you to go to tier 3 and the replies just said that gruntapaults will have superior numbers by then
