Like when a unit walks over a space and a blizzard or a Frost Nova is cast on them?
Simple, create a dummy unit over or near the spot you want to trap. Next Put a location over the trap. The dummy unit can be a flying sheep, with 0 visibility and the Ghost ability. Then make a trigger if the unit walks over the location, make it cast the spell on entering unit.

no, its a trap tht kills instantly and it has to go on off on off and so on, it might be at bit complicated :s
That is even easier. If the unit enters the region or "out of bounds" YOU KILL it on the location . To turn it on and off, you make a varaible called armTrap and you make it a boolean. Every 10 seconds, turn it on and off and play an animation on the trap to make sure people know when the trap got set off or not.
