Icon1 Applying to Map Unprotecting

Here at battle Forums, we have Decided Not to allow Map Unprotecting. One reason is because maps are protected so the author get's all of the credit for the map. Once the map is unprotected, his/her work may be stolen. We believe that if the author of the map decides to keep the map protected by using a protector or any sort of Protection program, it is their full right, and we should not mess with it.

I would ask if you would take into consideration: You have made a map, and it has taken endless hours. You protect it becaue you do not want anyone tampering with your map which took you a while.
Now, if you came here to BF and saw your map in an unprotecting thread, you would not be all to happy. And you would get angry at BF for allowing this.

Map unprotecting is almost equivelant to breaking a Copy right. If some one copyrights something, it is not meant to be 'un-copy righted', changed, and 'put back on the shelf'. This is mainly the same thing as Unprotecting. Unprotect it, change it, 'put it back on shelf.'

I hope you understand where we are coming from.

Thank you

That doesn't stop annoying private messages to me and some others probably get asking to unprotect certain maps... but ok.
