Mini Map Black

i wanna make my mini map all black, so that its sorta like in Legacies... How can i do this?

I didn't test yet but I think you have to take a blank file, and rename it War3mapMap.blp

then it should be blank

well, i dont exactly want the mini map to be blank, i want it to be black... i still want the player to see what he has explored, but not more. I also dont want him to see what player(9) "grey" sees.

There's a trigger that turns on 'fog of war'... use that. It'll make the whole thing black, but once someone explores an area they will 'remember' what it looks like, and it will be a dull grey foggish thing.

NOTE: Once you do this, the whole map will be covered with a dense fog (a bit like what my map looks like right now, it's very hard to see any distance at all, which is what i wanted for mine, in your map you may want to be able to see farther distances, which means fog of war will not work for u)

To make him see what player 8 sees, make them allies (player - player alliances i think) and then turn on allied vision, or whatever its called.

Or just do simply... Map Options >> Uncheck the button "Masked Areas Are Partially Visible"... thats exactly what you want

i dont really want the fog of war. i just want the mini map to be black, just like in legacies... I do want the player to remember what the region looks like after he has been there.

For every unit on the map make it a dark mini map color u must have tft to do that, thats all try spending 5 hours trying to make a map and u will find out all the secrets.
Its under unit editor, mini map color...make it dark green brown black and ya u get the point so its hard to see cause on legacie u see dark green if u play for awhile and brown, u cant have it all black...I dont think i havnt tried darimus's post yet above. And not gonna hope this helps

i already got the mini map thing to work. The whole mini map is black only when you explore a region, you see whats there
