I'm not sure how to integrate them back, but models need to be modelled using perhaps Blender or 3DS Max (costs a bomb, though). You can then convert them to .mdx files and then import them somehow.

Skins can be edited by just about anything that can open .tga files. GIMP is free and can do so.*

- http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/ Milskahpe 3D (Models)
- http://www.unav.es/cti/manuales/3DStudioMax/indice.html (3DS Max Models)
- Gimp (to edit all .bmp .tga .jpg and others)/Adobe Photoshop
- go to hiveworkshop.com to download tools for making icons, editing models etc. Magos editor for editing models already made, W3IR for icons. Just go through help threads and tutorials.

The GIMP is a big pain in the ass, but its pretty good for freeware.

Just remember that if you use Targas, you must remove ANY alpha channels that exist in the image, or you will crash Wc3 when you load the image.

Also, Vista comes with a Targa reader as well. I haven't tested for any programs that could save them as Targa, except Gimp and Photoshop.

When you convert tga to blp it asks smth about the alpha channel and in blp it is ok. Do you know what I found weird? With gimp you cannot make transparent only a selected part of the image. Well the menu is layer->transparency-> add alpha but when you do it the whole image becomes transparent. There isn't a way to make the selected only, i think.

3D Studio Max is required for blp models.

Photoshop can edit Targas.

Good call Elite. If you posted them, I would have no choice to either ban you or scruff out your link. We don't allow the distribution of Warez. But you can bring them up as long as the links for them aren't hosted on BF.
