ok, read it, give me some pointers please

redo of my old diablo map.

Originally i created a diablo map for roc. it was ok, but a lot of things were missing and it didnt work properly.

ive revisited the idea a few times, but never had the time. Now that i do, i wish to embark once again on the recreation of a diablo rpg

Original map:

Areas:

-there was a town
-church area
-catacomb area
-underground area
-hell area

all of these areas gave a very cramped feel

Characters:

Warrior upgraded to a diff class
Rogue upgraded to diff class
Sorcerer upgraded to diff class

Items:

-limited, but there were town portal items, red pots, blue pots, etc.
-drops were weapons, armor, and before the coins of frozen thrones, coin type items you returned to town for cash.

Monsters:

zombies, imps, felbats, goat clan, skeletons, the lightning guys, etc.

Bosses:

signature bosses like the butcher, king leoric, and later bosses including end boss diablo

I've liked my version of diablo more than the others available, also the fact that frozen throne adds a lot more options makes a redo of my diablo map interesting.

here are my ideas for updates:

-start over from scratch
-new experience system(past lvl 10 instead of getting stuck at lvl 10)
-new exits for the dungeons
-new monster types
-new quest system
-unidentified items
-coins instead of items that looked like coins
-new skill system, store skills for later? needs deep thought
-larger dungeons
-skinning?
-secret cow level?
-give different difficulties, normal, nightmare(slower leveling?), hell(with multiple bosses?) and of course: hardcore mode.
-load ability
-levels go to 50?

ok, comments, ideas on how to go about making skills....

Why not make the skills similar to those in DoD, with a few tweaks? You can easily do a Strafe type skill, or even a Frozen Orb of sorts.

this would be one of the most popular maps on WC if you made it and succeeded onto it :o gogo!

You are going to need models for some of the monsters that is for sure. *Wonders why there isn't any goatmen*

But to do an insane flying move and landing at 3000 km/h.
Hopefully, without crashing into something or flying off in the process.

ya if u make it like diablo hellfire the expansion game 1 u can make bard duble swing skill like a auto skill that gives a bloddlust like thing with like 300% quicker attack rate for like 1.5 seconds and that wuld make a good skill and for blaze walk for sorc that b pretty easy bassically have the skill make a trailling immolation or n other terms have unit make fire which wuld b a thing with fire look but with skill immolation and then have fire spawn from behind constatly from unit for 10 seconds and goes up evry lvl along with fire lvl wich wuld b the immolation k

1.5 seconds wouldnt be enough time to take advantage of the effect.

i think 1.5 seconds of attacking prob wuld i mean in the actual game duble swing is just 1 really quick attack and so unless game takes time 2 use it then i guess it wuldnt work but wut u think about mayb inbetween 2.5 - 3.5 atleast then it wuld attack really really quick and i kno 3 seconds wuld give alot of hits if at highest lvl mayb person wuld attack as fast as dojo master dude in loap martial arts version and that is pretty dam fast
