Help! Frozen Throne Will Not Install!

I got WarCraft 3 Reign of Chaos on my pc but the cd i got i lent to a friend and he cracked it so i cant use the cd. then i had to format my pc so then i didn't have it.
My friend had a copy that was installed onto a cd so i copied the files onto my pc. Now i want to install the frozen throne and it wont let me because reign of chaos is not in my registry.

If you know of any way i can fix that please help.

... sorry for the way I'm saying it but, ever heard of 1.21b ? You don't need cracks anymore. Just install RoC, download a TFT image from a torrent if the one you used didn't work and then update to 1.21b. There may not be a downloadable file of that new version, so if you don't have original keys to update it, you may also try GG client that should also update your game.

I cant update because it's not in my registry. thats why i wanna know how to put it in my reg.

If you have added cracks it may not work. Patching is done to pure installation. You install war3 roc, then tft and download 121b from here:

int your war3 folder and doubleclick it to patch the game. Then it should work.

The problem is he basically copied the files once they were installed and not the registry files which are created when you run the install executable

He was clearly not using a legit CD and therefore it wasn't installed properly.
