| Custom Armor/Attacks I am pretty familiar with the Warcraft 3 map editor, but I just can't figure out how to make custom attacks and armor like in Element TD and Gem TD. Any help would be appreciated.
If you have any questions just let me know.
*EDIT* If anyone knows of a site perhaps that has a tutorial on this would be appreciated

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks Those are all inside the Advanced Tab. Do the following:
You go into Gameplay Constants, and scroll down to Combat - Damage Bonus Table - *attack type* and modify those settings. Make sure you check the Custom box or it wont save them when you click Ok.
For the display, you go into the Game Interface. For the icons, you go to Icon - Attack type *attack type* (upgrades or no upgrades) and modify the string with the icon you desire. If you imported one, make sure yuo have a DISBTN of it so it doesnt show a green box when you pause. With that out of the way, you will need to scroll down to Text - General and find the specific text that goes with the Attack type and armor type icons when you hover your mouse over them. You can use the |cXXXXXXText|r in these, and it will render the color in play. Just make sure you close with |r.
It is actually not hard, finding the right ones will require testing too.

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks Thanks. I figured out the one about modifying the look and name, but I couldn't figure out the actual settings.
Thanks again.
I plan on making a big thread that explains all that in detail with pictures for further reference. So be sure to look out for it.

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks I just have a quick question though. Do you know a way to make the names of your custom show up under there custom names in the editor? Or do you just have to remember what is what?

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks What do you mean by that? If you are talking about the UI, you will have to do Experimentation. |

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks I mean when you are editing the map, in stead of making the armor types show up as light or medium or whatever, can you make them show up as whatever you named them? Just to make this step a little less confusing.

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks Oh when you hover over the picture of the armor type and you get like
Armor: Medium
Medium takes more damage from Normal attacks...
Go to Game Interface, and scroll down to Text - General. And scroll down the list till you see
Text - General Type: |Cffffcc00Chaos|r
There is one for each armor and damage type. Change these values to whatever you need.
You will need to browse thru Text - General to find the ones for thier descrptions. |

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks Yeah, I got that one. Thanks. But I mean when you are in the map editor and you go to the "armor type" field, pull it up, and you get to choose what type of armor the unit has, i want to know if you can change that name so I don't have to remember what I named what.

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks You cannot. Its a preset table field that the editor's programming does. You will just have to write the names on paper to be safe. |

| Re: Custom Armor/Attacks Ok, thanks. I have already done the pen and paper technique, but I just wanted to know if I could make my job one step easier.
